Pep to leave at the end of the season

Now Pep is leaving certain media will happily tell all that he is the reason for all the success whereas when he was in charge it was “chequebook manager this, chequebook manager that”.

That’s why anyone (non city fan) trying to run it in that he is leaving will simply get in return from me “I’m not worried, remember anyone could have done what Pep did at City so we will carry on winning regardless.”

“Maresca, who won the Club World Cup and Conference League while securing Champions League qualification during his only full season at Stamford Bridge.

He worked directly under Guardiola during City's treble-winning 2022-23 campaign and played a key role in the club's academy prior to joining the first team.

He left City in 2023 to manage Leicester, whom he guided to promotion to the Premier League in his only season”

Let’s fucking have it!
I’m confident with him
We’ll win the Treble next season!!!!
Exactly this, I was saying it all last night, and the major bonus is he's worked with Pep and knows this club inside out. I don't see this as a step backwards at all.

I get the
I'm more concerned about where he goes next. If we're going to be pushing for the CL I wouldn't want to come up against any team he's in charge of.

And as unlikely as it may seem at this moment, I'm dreading him signing for another PL club at some point in the future. You never know in football, if the job and salary are big enough...

I dont think he’ll tip up at another prem club. I think he’ll end up in international footy

Of course though, i have no idea whatsoever

In what way? The story only broke late last night, it's only 10 a.m. now, give it chance. Are they supposed to stop what they're doing an arrange an immediate press conference? FFS.

He has been getting asked questions for weeks now mate? Maybe i`m more pissed off it was Oliver Fucking Holt who broke it but it goes against the normally top class professional way we do things?

Expect better from the club. How has this been leaked? Can’t see us recovering from this for a while.
I've "recovered" already. He had to go sometime and we do need a refresh as we should have won the league this year. best manager ever but times change and football adapts

Still dont believe it until there is confirmation, in the media once one organisation reports it then they all have to, even if its not true as they dont want to appear left out. The timing and the way its come out stinks as we've got 2 games left and all to play for.
The logical thought would be to announce it after the Bournemouth game. With a view that the Aston Villa home game becomes a celebration regardless. It would be the ideal time to for fans and the club to celebrate the careers of 3 legends of the club. Even the possibility of the naming of the new stand. A fitting close to the season and an era. The club then has the summer to put in place a new management team and look forward to next season a fresh with all loose ends tied up nicely.

Why are City news sites and social media sharing this stuff. Wait until Pep says what he is going to do.

What do you expect? Gone are the days where things were only known when there was an official announcement.

We knew about Pep joining months in advance, transfers get leaked in advance all the time etc. It’s football
