RIP Donald Farrar

First time I met him was in Middleton police station when my mate (a red) was driving his ford escort and he was looking at a girl instead of the road and braked too late and went into the back of a bloke on a motorbike at a set of pedestrian lights and knocked him over the handlebars right outside the police station. He only ended up being an off duty copper and took us both straight in. Donald was in the station signing in so he couldn't be at the game and he introduced himself to us in his own inimitable style.

The second time I met him was on the early morning train to Crystal Palace when we all went down as Blues Brothers. All the way down all we heard was stories of him taking on Millwall and other firms. We got the last train back out of Euston around midnight which was the postal train and it stopped at nearly every station collecting post and took until around 6am Sunday morning to get back. Donald was on the train and was a nightmare keeping everyone awake with stories of...yep you've guessed it haha.

Strangely enough I mentioned him at the weekend when we got talking about how many characters we've had following City over the years. Pete the Badge, TOJ (great news Jackie see you soon), Helen 'the Bell' Turner and many others.

RIP Donald you were one of us.

Must have been easy to do, considering there were 1,999,876 away fans that day.
