16 | Rodri 2025/26

Clearly miles away from full fitness, understand the gamble but didn't pay off and shows Pep has next to no confidence in nico or reijnders with kova still feeling his way back. Midfield without Bernardo is going to be a huge problem next season.

Was a passenger the entire game today, could tell after 5 minutes he wasn't fit, just let players go beyond him to avoid a challenge or a physical battle, we were miles better once kovacic replaced him and it wasn't a 1 man Bernardo midfield anymore.

If we going to sign Anderson or whoever next to him if possible ( Maza , Wharton? you name it) , and with partially available Rodri & Kovacic, we will have no midfield problems at all.

If he doesn’t commit to a new contract then I reckon Sunday will be his last appearance, no way will the club want him to go on a free if they can help it .

Keeping him for the transition next season is essential. Would ignore all offers, even if it means he leaves on a free in 2027. If anything I think that would make a move to real madrid more likely for him anyway.

Love him and I wouldn't be too harsh on him as he's not fit

That said, I think he'll become a bit of a John Stones over the next few years. Brilliant when he's fit but more and more unreliable due to fitness.

Wouldn't blame the club for looking at big offers.

He needs to be 100% fit to be at the level we expect him to be.

He never used to get injured so it was never a problem. If he’s going to be picking up a few small injuries a year into his 30s and post ACL then it might turn into one.

Just means we have to get more reinforcements to me though. It might be the difference between getting 1 midfielder who can cover there (ie Anderson) or getting 2.

If he's not forced to play as much as he has this season, he doesn't look nearly as gassed. Whether Gonzalez isn't good enough or we haven't done enough to surround him with players who can do more, it's more a failing of squad building.

The fucknuggets are out in full force it seems, not just in the usual spots. He very clearly wasn't fit, no idea why it wasn't him to go off instead of Bernardo.

If Rodri leaves, we instantly wave goodbye to any hope of trophies next season.

Calm down lads, just not fully fit, Pep killing him right until the end.
