No Bournemouth are a good side and had something to play for, they didn't raise their game, they played their usual game, Everton didn't raise their game either, it was our doing and the cheating refs.
 
Went out with a bit of a whimper to what are truely the worst champions weve seen in the prem.

2 cups and finished 2nd. Not too bad of a season considering.

Huge gaps in the squad and some players need to leave: Foden, Marmoush, Savinho.

Sign a LB, CM, Winger and decent back to striker and we will walk the league next season with either Pep or Maresca.
 
If we can improve by a meagre 5% next season we will be very successful. If Pep goes, Lijnders will probably go as well which is a pity as I believe he is the unsung hero who really knows how to press teams and got us results we may not have got from this young squad .
 
Disappointed that Bernie had another meh performance tonight, been running on fumes the last couple of months after a good first part of the season.

Haaland was off....the stream I was watching showed it - he knew it as well as he was looking along the line...not criticising Haaland for it - he is exceptional at keeping onside...he just didnt make his way back in time on tihs one occasion
 
We've not played our blistering best for a while now. Maybe the odd run of a few games. But even then they were a hard watch at times.

I expected more of everyone involved tonight. That was our last shot. Weve seen final days can be unpredictable. For them to throw that performance out there tonight left a sour taste in my mouth.

We looked absolutely clueless. Didn't create hardly anything other than the goal and the Nico chance.

Constantly getting caught on the ball and gifting possesion back to Bournemouth.

That wasn't a side chasing a potential PL trophy.

I won't let this non-performance spoil yet somehow trophies winning season.

I am gonna be at Etihad and enjoy seeing the man and and a few other for one one last time for a proper send off.

I always thought he should have left two seasons ago, as he is leaving us with a hotch-potch of squad with worse prospects that the one he found on his arrival. But if that's a payoff for those two cups we have won, so be it.

Luckily for me, I gave up on this team as some serious force or a title winning team, so I am not terribly upset, those two wins against Ars actually broke us and not them. We haven't lost the title tonight or against Everton, we lost it straight after that MAn United cup loss after which he started abandoning one by one of his principles and ended up with a team playing like they have played like tonight.

Learnt a lot though haven’t we. Nunes is a better than average right back, is there a better one in the league. Khusanov is already a very good CB and can aspire to be one of the greats, I genuinely believe his ceiling is so high. Doku is twice the player he was last season and can get better. NOR is the best young player around and can only get better. Guehi became a much needed calming influence at the back despite his error at neverton. Gvardiol will come back stronger. We have the second best defence in the league without resorting to cheating, diving, feigning injury etc. Cherki in his first season was at times outstanding but needs to be more consistent.

On the downside Rodri needs to not play many minutes at the World Cup otherwise he will be fucked for next season. Jury out on Tijani, RAN and Marmoush, whilst Semenyo needs to be more consistent to be considered a good player.

I think we have seen the last of Lewis, Kova, Savio as well as Bernardo, Stones and possibly Ake

All in all a good season, we go again next year and look to win more trophies. We can still have a party on Sunday.

there is a core decent young spine of a first team but a lot of dead and semi retired wood to be cleared out and big decisions to be taken on the newer signings

My hunch is that with so much churn as you mention players like Marmoush, Reijnders, Savinho, Nico G, arent going anywhere
 
played against the wrong team at the wrong time tonight. Thought Bournemouth were excellent, full of energy and can knock it about a bit as well. Hope they make CL.

We looked gassed after about 20 mins, sometimes it just doesn’t happen for us.

Very much overachieved this season, only Stoke-on-Thames wouldn’t swap places. 2 more pots and taking the league to the final week is some achievement and something we can build on for next year.

Let’s hope baldy pulls a fast one and signs a new deal!
 
Not good enough tonight, we scored too late and tbh we probably didn't deserve to win. Those dropped points against Forest, Brighton and Chelsea at home and Spurs away have come back to bite us on the backside.
 
Mixed emotions to be honest.

2 cups is better than last season and we have a new era incoming. Arsenal ain't all that but they were certainly more consistent.
