Pep to leave at the end of the season

I can see a decent proportion of fans not being happy with an incoming manager being responsible for forcing the club's decision making process and, perhaps, Pep's. Surely the tweet is hinting/claiming that the leaks about Pep's future have been coming from Maresca's camp?
All this is fabricated

He served with Pep. Pep thought he was an excellent coach. He moved up to the #1 position at Leicester and led them to promotion, then moved up to Chelsea and led them to trophies, before that blew up internally.

He’s a doctor AND he knows the NHS.

Served with Pep? Was he at war?

He had one season with the first team. Pep said Kolarov was one of the best defenders he's ever worked with. Pep said Nathan Redmond was one of the best wingers...

Unbeaten doesn't really cut it as a stat.

A team for example could draw 38 games in a season. They would he undefeated but just about survive relegation.

Draws against teams in and around your league position is fine when you are challenging at the top. But draws against teams in the bottom 5 of the table puts a dent in those title ambitions. And this season it's the draws against those teams that have killed us.
Benfica didn't lose a league game but still came 3rd!

Not sure what thread this goes in, but how much of a **** does the bloke with the arsenal bottle, look like now?
He rolled the dice. In hindsight he ‘went too soon’ and same applies to the ‘second again ole ole’ and ‘bridesmaid’ stuff but it’s just a bit of fun I guess.

Camera panned in on him 3 times last night… he brought it on himself! Sure he can handle it though.

Crap in the league? We are unbeaten since January (14 games)

More importantly, we're ending up second. To say that we're “crap” is just laughable, and no other supporter from any other club would understand us calling our team that, in that final position.
Not, by the way, that I want us to get used to ending up second. Not a bit of it. To be second is not now enough at this club. Those are not my expectations — they're the expectations of the owners, the players, the manager. Madrid are ending up second, and you can be sure they don't accept it. If by divine intervention Bayern ended up second (they did, in fact), you can be sure they wouldn't accept it. PSG would be outraged at ending up second (that's happened, too). That's the table we're now sitting at.

Third last season. Second this — which is an improvement. With a couple of necessary additions, top of the pile next…

If Pep does decide to call it a day, up to yesterday I was happy with the idea of Maresca taking over from him, at least in the short term - after all he knows the way the Club works very well, and did quite well with Chelsea at the WCC and in the CL group stage.
But last night I started to feel uneasy, because City Xtra reported that he wanted to meet up with the players next week, which felt to me like he was in a hurry to get his foot through the door - when most players would want to get away after the Parade/Celebrations on Monday and have a short break before they join their World Cup squads.
And then I read the Tolmie post this morning about the constant leaking from the Maresca camp.
The club has to get to the bottom of it, because the leak came the day before a really important game for us, and was bound to affect Pep & the team emotionally. We couldn't have a new manager who had been any part of such a thing IMO.

I doubt the players will be around next week last duties will be Monday

Can you imagine finishing the season in such a disappointing way, then having to go through the whole thing after the game against Villa on Sunday, then having a parade on Monday, followed by getting leathered with the gang one more time.

And then some equally bald **** wants to drag you into work the next day just so he can introduce himself for a second time.

Fuck off I'm having a lie in.

We won 10 of those games mate.

Going 15 games unbeaten in the Premier League is very difficult and show that we are playing decent.

In that time we have also won 2 Cups.

Some of you need a serious reality check.

Of course it didn’t come from Maresca. What are we doing here.

It came from a sponsor. Deary me. Tolmie has managed to turn people against Maresca already over some fairy tale he has made up. Gonna be a long summer
You might have missed the last six months but it was all started by an article by David Ornstein about Maresca telling Chelsea that City has approached him about replacing Pep at City, Yes, the explosion on Monday was fuelled by an article by Oliver Holt he claimed that he was told by a City sponsor , or a leak from one, that Pep was leaving This then promoted the media to release articles they had prepared based on the rumours about Pep leaving which originated from Maresca.

D'you think?

Just fan banter nothing more, made no difference.

We are continually referered to as cheats, 115, plastics etc etc

They are known as bottlers, 5 years to win a title, only achieved when there was no competition and with a very low points total.

Their behaviour (fans) over the last few weeks has enforced the bottlers tag, they've been shitting it.

Not gonna call out a match going blue for taking the piss, it was the media that blew it up.

The run we have been on since February has been title winning form. This is pretty much a new team, over the course of the season we've seen several players blossom and that's going to be good for future seasons. Khusa and Guehi formed a good partnership, Nunes became one of the best RB's in the world and Oreilly proved the same at LB. Doku went up another level and Cherki started to show why he's been so highly rated since he was 16. This team isn't the finished article yet, but we came so close to winning the league. I think if Rodri was fully fit in December, those three draws in a row in December/January turned into wins. I think we also forget that Dias and Gvardiol were playing well together but they both got injured at the same time.

We have got a solid base, nows the time for a couple more signings and we are set. Two CM, a young back up RB. If I am being greedy, a top class winger is also needed as I am not convinced any of the RW options we have now are the calibre of PSG's and Bayerns.
