I don’t disagree that they need to be more savvy . As regards when the early railways were built they were design, build and operate models. If a private company wouldn't take the risk then I don't see why a bunch of politicians feel able to take the risk using taxpayer money especially as the goverment that signs off the expense is very unlikely to be around to see it through. The early railways were financed by private investment and they seemed to very well out of it. The government needs to be much more savvy when handing out these huge contracts with massive commitments to pay for decades. The new nuclear power station(s) are a good example with prices for electricity generated guaranteed for the operators regardless of what happens to prices in the future.
They hate leaving their bubble when they have to face the normal people who suffer from their policies.
Please tell us which Labour policy is making normal people struggle ?
Too many to mention, theyre utter cunts hated by the majority of the country and i say that as a staunch ex labour supporter. It's not just their policies they lied to get into office and every single bill has gone through the roof since they've been in power.

Erm... fuel prices through the roof, Chancellor thinks let's do interview in a garage forecourt. Appears in public and doesn't like or expect the public speaking out, you're in Leeds lass not your Westmenster bubble. Nice condescending tone at the end, oh not heard of the fuel duty cut eh smarm smarm. Was that bloke in the van a normal person? Looked like a complete nobhead to me.
Im not sure he would have been allowed to wander over for a pleasant chat tbh mate. I disagree with the Farage bollocks but its his opinion I guess, dont like an opinion? Dont turn up for a bit of PR at a bloody garage in Leeds. It’s perfectly fine to disagree with politicians and policies but that behaviour yesterday was disgusting and sadly symptomatic of the way any sort of manners and reasonable behaviour and language has disappeared from political debate.
You see it on here and we saw the worst of it yesterday.

And if this Government did such things, do you think the media would be awash with praise? I very much doubt itI have been reading quite a bit about Blair's Prime Minister Delivery Unit which drove improvements to public services 1990-95. Whilst it was imperfect it did drive significant improvement in a fairly short timescale. The model has been used successfully by other governments throughout the world. Although Starmer is recreating elements of it I dont think it has the same teeth or focus. He really does need something that will provide visible evidence of improvements across Health, Transport, Immigration and the Economy.
No. But it would have to be reported. And if this Government did such things, do you think the media would be awash with praise? I very much doubt it
