Pep to leave at the end of the season

Does anyone else feel the longer this goes on, the more likely it is that he stays for his last year?

I have got used to the idea that hes off for what its worth, but I had imagined a statement last night/ this morning or around 7pm tonight from the club to confirm he will leave end of the season.

The fact there's been nothing yet , added to his comments post match last night are giving me a niggling feeling that something is going on. Again, this isnt even wishful thinking. Just seems strange that by tomorrow it will be 3 days since it was national tabloid news and the club have done nothing to confirm or deny it. It's all a bit lame leaving us fans in limbo either way.
Thats what people are so stuck over. Announce it one way or another so we can deal with it. Its really tough and sensitive and all involved no doubt but yeah crazy how long they are playing it out.

Pep wasn't exactly looking like a man who was leaving at the end of last night's game. If he was leaving I'd have expected him to be waving and praising the travelling fans in possibly his last away game ever, there was literally nothing

There was a claim a month or so ago that he was returning his flat to it's original state. Maybe he is unsmashing the two apart.

Was it not also claimed that the owner of Stockport County was his landlord, and his going to a game was a promise made before he left or some story like that?
That's what the commentator said in the Stockport play-off match I think it was, but then he could have just made that up.

Pep has earned the right to leave whenever and however he wants after what he's given us all. However, I always thought he had to go out with at least a league title win. A cup double is nice and i'm not dismissing that achievement but it's not a proportionate success compared to his brilliance.

Just feels wrong to leave without us being champions. 1 more year, build on the foundations of a new side he's shaped, take our title back, shut everybody else up and put them all in their place and then go. That just feels fitting.

Yeah, it's been a whole 24 hours...
It's not though has it. The news broke Monday tea time before Arsenal played Burnley. It's now Wednesday night. Every single tabloid newspaper and broadcaster has gone big on it. Rival fans shooting their beans left, right and centre.

The City fanbase has gone into mourning, everyone learning to accept hes gone.

Yet the club have kept silent. All the while the title race is over. Nothing left to compete for and the last home game of the season is 4 days away with a parade planned on Monday.

I repeat my point, all a bit strange.

For all the good Soriano did in his early days at City, I cannot wait for him to fuck off. He is behind the tourist chasing. Did it at Barcelona and decimated their local, match going support and he’s doing it here too.
You mean to say Barcelona are not just all 100% purebred Cules coming to watch the local masia kids in a mes que atmosphere of San Miguel and Chorizo breath clouds?

That’s not true, Chav fans didn’t like him and Leicester supporters weren’t gutted when he left, Google it, I’ll start you off with this one.
That's no different than the melts on here who thought we should have won 5-0 at Burnley. Bottom line is he got a Leicester team that was in disarray back into the Prem at the first attempt, got Chelsea to the CWC Final and Euro Conference final and won both (you can knock it, but what else have they done lately?), and he was here when we did the treble which means he knows a lot of the players, especially the younger ones he coached, and knows the club inside out.

It was Beckhams actually!!
( I was staying with a Rag relative nothing else to read). I actually wanted to see what Beckham said about 1) the boot throwing incident 2) Rebecca Loos. I recall feck all of what shite was spouted but I recall the GPC supposed retirement- I wish to feck he had gone that season. The cnut did another decade.
I believe you!!

I think it is entirely possible, but with it being much more mutual between them.

I do also think Pep wanted to leave last year, but stuck around to do right by the club through the rebuild and the 115 verdict wait. And that identifying a new manager early was always part of the joint intention.
The 115 bit doesn't make any sense because if the verdict is announced this summer, as seems likely, and we're found guilty of ANYTHING, even the grass being the wrong shade of green or something, the entire world and his dog are going to claim Pep left a year early because of the 115 verdict. In that scenario he would have been better leaving last year.
