Well he's taken us to the absolute pinnacle, best team the world. I'd say that's as far as he could take us!Does anyone think he’s taken City as far as he can? Looking at it that way…
This group of players and the rumoured incomings Anderson/Maza, the thought of new energy and fresh approach etc etc….
We won'tWhole way this has been handled has put me off so much. I’ll support the team but ill find it hard to support Maresca to begin with. Begging Pep stays because with him we’ll piss the league next year.
True, Mark Stott owns Select Property Group who owns CitySuites.Peps apartment is owned by the Stockport county owner ? No idea if that`s true but sure Ive read that recently .
Good read that, although think it missed the point of circling back to the beginning, where you said the best days you had were actually the rise under Mancini, pre Pep. I think that’s a really good point to make about the situation. We’ll never be as good again as we were under Pep, but we’ll still have great days.Nothing's the same to me
"It used to be good didn't it?" This is the question I have kept asking myself since the news broke that Pep Guardiola will be leaving City ...liamwright1987.blogspot.com
I've written this about Pep.
I got told Monday by a contact employed by the club. Asked today if anyway he could change his mind ' No mate he is gone'Enzo’s burner account? -:)
Who needs enemies with fans like you.Whole way this has been handled has put me off so much. I’ll support the team but ill find it hard to support Maresca to begin with. Begging Pep stays because with him we’ll piss the league next year.
But now is the time for change, we simply haven't been good enough this last two seasons and the football on offer has exemplified thatAgreed. The greatest thing Pep did for us was to gift us, week in week out, with the greatest football we have ever seen. He was the master conductor and his orchestra played absolutely beautifully. At times it took my breath away, it made me smile and gave me, my brother and our sons some of the greatest days we will ever live. The last 15 minutes v Villa in the 3-2 and the first half v Real Madrid in the 4-0 at home being my particular favourites. We are lucky lucky people.
Maresca has a better CV now than Guardiola had in 2008, when he took the hot seat at one of the biggest clubs in the world.Maresca has hardly the reputation of managing a big club, so what he got Leicester promoted? Lampard has just got Coventry promoted we arent screaming for him?
I knows hes also won the club world cup but those tournaments are hit and miss and its a free for all
We have been rebuilding the squad the last two years, it’s natural. But now is the time for change, we simply haven't been good enough this last two seasons and the football on offer has exemplified that
Yeah fair one when you break it down like that.Let's think about that timeline
Monday - travel to Bournemouth after being home for about 36 hours after winning the cup. Story breaks
Tuesday - match day, quite an important one although ultimately disappointing
Weds - probably got home from Bournemouth in the early hours, scheduled day off. Kit release day, scheduled Bernardo video release day
So they're back in tomorrow. There might even be a meeting with the players and the backroom staff - coaches, kitmen, admin staff, etc.
Then a formal announcement might be made. He'll have a presser on Friday and surely won't fancy that bollocks again, so I'd wager Friday AM.
Oh I'm in the same boat - until it's absolutely confirmed I hold out hope, but I'm also not getting my hopes up too muchYeah fair one when you break it down like that.
Just feels massive to us doesn't it so these past few days of not being sure has felt an eternity. I'm not impatient by the way, just starting to wonder if there might be a surprise (although I doubt it).
All in good time.
Nothing to do with change,I think Maresca will do a good job and I’m looking forward to seeing it, but we know if he stayed Pep would do a better one.But now is the time for change, we simply haven't been good enough this last two seasons and the football on offer has exemplified that
Don’t forget the club World Cup as well.Look on the bright side. Maresca has championship winning experience.
People turning on the potential new manager before he's even been in the job one day, because of unsubstantiated rumours on Twitter. I don't get what goes on in people's heads sometimes.
i lived in barcelona so is it okay if i act like a tosser for a moment?>>>You mean to say Barcelona are not just all 100% purebred Cules coming to watch the local masia kids in a mes que atmosphere of San Miguel and Chorizo breath clouds?
that's not true.Peps apartment is owned by the Stockport county owner ? No idea if that`s true but sure Ive read that recently .
