Pep to leave at the end of the season

I want them not to react to the leaks, on principle alone. Fuck them.

Didn't comment on the rumours, ignored the speculation, didn’t even engage with the provocative loaded trap questions. Why should they suddenly rush statements because some deliberately ran it at the worst possible time, despite being told the official that stance same day. Disrespectful self-serving cunts.
Exactly. It might all be false reporting anyway, people can't expect the club to come out and issue statements every tine there's a new rumour floating around, although in this case given the fact that it's been reported in all the mainstream media and didn't somebody say the PM even mentioned it? Suggests it is true.

Regardless, it's the clubs decision to make and everybody should respect that.

I'm not suggesting you are, but there are plenty of them on here. The question here though is who do we get who we can be sure will do a good job?

We're not going to get another Pep, that's extremely unlikely but he's a guy who worked with the youth squad and was good enough for Pep to want to work with him and did so when we won the treble. He then went to a Leicester side that were said to be in disarray, got rid of the old has-beens and got them promoted on a limited budget in his first season, then when to Chelsea and won two trophies and got them up to 4th, again in his first season, says to me he must have something about him.

And it's as close as you'll get to promoting from within which served Liverpool well for a very long time. I actually suspect he may have been recommended by Pep.

IF any of this is true. We don't yet know if Pep is leaving for sure, or if Maresca is taking over so there is no point worrying about it.
Maresca has made teams better and they've got worse when he's left, he knows City inside and out, and he plays the system the club plays in. If it doesn't work out we'll move him on. It doesn't feel that big a gamble to me. I reckon he'll win a league and drop off, like Pellets, but most of us have fond memories of that era. The time of 6/7 leagues is done, we all need to accept that and enjoy the memories.

Exactly this. Also favours younger players apparently which could be a good thing given the players we've signed over the past couple of seasons and the fact that several older players are leaving. Might those leaving even tie in with his appointment? If Maresca is coming I still think it was planned when he left Chelsea. If it's happening those plans and conversations will have asked him what sort of players he's going to want to work with.

Great, what does this mean?
Back when we signed Messi, there was a rumour going about that Sergio would give him the no.10 shirt just to get him to City, because they were mates.

Then while it was all building up, he went and dropped the 10 from his Aguero10 instagram handle. The place went into absolute meltdown. Ah good times.

Well said pal. Super post, that.
Agreed. The greatest thing Pep did for us was to gift us, week in week out, with the greatest football we have ever seen. He was the master conductor and his orchestra played absolutely beautifully. At times it took my breath away, it made me smile and gave me, my brother and our sons some of the greatest days we will ever live. The last 15 minutes v Villa in the 3-2 and the first half v Real Madrid in the 4-0 at home being my particular favourites. We are lucky lucky people.

Maresca has hardly the reputation of managing a big club, so what he got Leicester promoted? Lampard has just got Coventry promoted we arent screaming for him?

I knows hes also won the club world cup but those tournaments are hit and miss and its a free for all

I must have missed that :-)

Ugh, you’re back. Great.

‘Needy’ - do one. I think it’s a fucking joke neither the club or Pep has said anything. Absolute piss take.
Pep has said lots to the million times he’s asked the same question. This has all been generated by the media & I totally agree that we should not dance to their tune. They can f*** off & City/Pep will make major announcements when it suits them - not the gutter press or needy “fans”. Supporters will understand & agree with this stance.

Why go for Maresca when we could have Ole at the wheel?

We haven’t seen attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.
We haven’t watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate.
But we have seen things you wouldn’t believe.

Yet everyone is screaming for vinnie who won the league with bayern which is the equivalent of winning the Scottish league with celtic, the whole system in germany is designed to favour bayern.

Ugh, you’re back. Great.
Why because some of you cant face facts? He's won two trophies congratulations he's also taking on one of the biggest seats in world football, is he a unknown quantity ? Absolutely! Will I support him? Absolutely.

Get a grip because others have other opinions its embarrassing.

Yeah and thats because of the emotional ties, I aint slagging Maresca off but I wont buy oh look what he did to PSG once over a 90 minute game and the fact he got Leicester promoted its absolute nonsense.

You’re the embarrassment, raggy.

For all the good Soriano did in his early days at City, I cannot wait for him to fuck off. He is behind the tourist chasing. Did it at Barcelona and decimated their local, match going support and he’s doing it here too.
Soriano & Khaldoon are the reason we are a global powerhouse of a football club. Ask a rag; or a Chelsea fan or a spurs fan,’……….
