Pep to leave at the end of the season

We haven’t seen attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.
We haven’t watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate.
But we have seen things you wouldn’t believe.
Have we seen people threatening to chase him 'round the moons of Nibia and 'round the Antares Maelstrom and 'round perdition's flames before I give him up?

Is Pep being ganged up to leave by Maresca and and the leaks also he is well friendly with Hugo just a thought

I dont think Pep is but I understand your point.
If Maresca team have leaked this to the press/media it could look like this.

Something doesn't seem right about this whole situation. City are normally good at handling situation likes this. This seem to have been leaked from within City or soon to be a City employee.

Or is it a case the press/media decided to just make this up and its snowballed ?

Surely the club would have strongly batted it down if it wasnt true mate? Like you say, its weird how this is being managed and just isnt like our board at all.

Totally disagree with that. Last season we were hammered with injuries and did well to finish where we did. This season we've done exceptionally well with a young team in transition. With what we had, including a fair number of long term key injuries this term too, nobody was looking at two trophies and running the title to within two matches from the end of the season.
Two trophies is a brilliant return, and I've really enjoyed this season - but we shouldn't get too carried away.

I think that we beat 11 sides in total to win those cups - including Huddersfield, Swansea, Watford, Exeter, Salford and Southampton. So effectively we came through five tough ties to win two pieces of silverware. Looking at it that way, it's surprising that it isn't done more often. I'm not belittling the achievement, these are the facts.

Liverpool have been useless and this forum would have you believe that arsenal are the poorest champions for years - yet we still didn't win the league. If arsenal can be considered genuinely crap, despite winning it, then it must be possible that our coming second also papers over some cracks?

Apart from the short run from the Carabao final onwards, ending with beating Arsenal at home, there was only the odd game where we really looked the part. Posters called Anfield and the Bernebeu 'statement' wins when they were anything but. Terrific results, definitely, but not particularly outstanding performances, either of them.

If Pep does go and the new boss should try more adventurous football, we shouldn't forget that we've been punching above our weight this year when inevitably comparing any drop-off in performance by looking back at this year through rose-tinted spectacles.

I don’t disagree mate. I just don’t like the tourists over locals thing. I think long term it’ll do more damage than good. If we go through a lean spell will the tourists still come? Then what happens if they don’t?

I’m also a local, very long standing season ticket holder, but I’d rather see kids there on champions league nights than holiday makers with no interest in the game other than filming 70 minutes of it and taking selfies. I’m not against tourists, it’s part of the game, but I don’t think the club does enough to encourage the kids come anymore. Membership fees, silly priced tickets for one off games. In the grand scheme of things it makes little impact on the clubs ability to spend money. Partnering with ticket touts and selling away tickets to far too many people that haven’t earned the privilege to be at these games is another.
I think this will change with new stand. I see lots of kids groups now at cup matches. Let’s give the club a chance - think they deserve it

Anyone think that Holt was tipped off from the Swamp by Omar B or such? I’ve absolutely no evidence. I think Holt has ears there, and I’m not sure he has at the Etihad.
I do feel the leak was from outside the Etihad circles
How would Omar or any of them know what's happening? He will know about events here up until his (Omar's) departure, nothing more.

The fans don’t go because the cunts charge £53 as the cheapest available adult ticket for midweek games and often more for weekend games. They charge a family of 3 comfortably over £100 to attend a game. We have some of the most expensive junior tickets in world football.

Yes they’ve done a lot of good but don’t tell me everything they do is amazing. A generation of local blues have been priced out of attending.

Out of all the big names leaving, Soriano is the one I’ll miss the least.
I genuinely don’t understand as - bearing in mind our success - & the expectations of fans for the club to improve in regard to getting best players etc - we are a top global club yet according to everything I read, we don’t have the dearest tickets & have made more STs available by increasing capacity

Not arguing mate but trying to look at it logically

never forget Alex Ferguson picked his successor... that didnt go well

Yes it would. The original proposal was Barcelona football group; there is a long history of our CEO’s idea for a global franchise, it’s just that the good sheik was the first to say yes. Ultimately, it is not really about City.
It was just an idea in Soriano's head until he took it to us. Barça rejected it. We didn't. We made it happen. Ultimately if we never went with Soriano he may have got someone else to do it, but that's all pie in the sky, we were the ones that did, and the real world existing CFG that came about as a result is indeed firmly intertwined with us at this point, or vis-a-versa.
