He was convicted for that one. The retrial is for the assault on the headstomp cop. Baffling there’s been no outcome though.
There’s nothing baffling about it. Our national broadcaster churns out nonces and general sex offenders every other year. Local authorities in this country, across the country, turned a blind eye to the systemic rape of young women and children into the thousands. Huw Edwards walks free, whilst a guy selling dodgy fire sticks does 3 years jail time.

This country is absolutely done. It’s been done for a long time and will only get worse. We’ve always had a problem with justice in this country, the system is rotten to the core.

I can’t believe they’ve not been don’t, this is the problem with trial by jury, the general public are fucking idiots.

I’ve only been on one jury but we had a jury member on there who was a prison visitor and was never going to find the accused guilty, they admitted as much in our deliberations. Absolute bonkers. Lucky the judge allowed a majority verdict of 11 to 1.

But one thing I was surprised at, even though we sent them down, was the poor evidence against the accused and the information we were given. It really could have gone the other way. There was no DNA evidence to prove they were at the scene, they provided an alibi (if a little suspicious which the prosecution didn’t pull apart), but their defence never defended them on any of it. If we were to find them guilty simply on facts, there wasn’t much to back that up and a few others on the jury initially wanted to acquit them. However we were given details about their past history and that swayed everyone, I thought that was supposed to only be disclosed once the jury decision was made.

It was all a charade, really.

It's bizarre a jury can't reach a verdict. Obviously we're not privy to all the evidence but it appeared the brothers first attacked a man who had an altercation with their mother on a flight. When the police arrived they then very violently set about them as well. Is it fear of retribution if they reach a guity verdict?
None of us know what the Jury has heard but It only needs 3 of them to sit on the fence and it’s a hung Jury -that’s our system. Protocol regarding re-trials suggest they will now end up being acquitted of these remaining charges -as it’s rare that the CPS go for a 3rd Trial.

I noticed that this pair of cunts are back in court again today.
Let's hope the jury do the right thing this time and find the pair of them guilty and they get a good few years behind bars.
Jury couldn’t agree and have been dismissed. Possible third trial could happen but decision not yet made.

The Prison Visitor Juror should have been reported to the Court Staff -as they are clearly not following the Judges direction to consider the case on the evidence and they would have been discharged. As for the utter incompetence of the Prosecution this is in large part a result of Teresa May’s decision to cut 20,000 Police Officers -the net result was a massive loss of the experienced Officers who basically left leaving a lot of “green” officers for want of a better word running the show.

Yes pal, there is another thread about the whole sorry episode, which was updated yesterday.
Baffling that the jury couldn't come to a majority verdict, British law at it's finest.
If it does go to a 3rd trial it will have cost an absolute fortune to put this pair of cunts through the justice system.

The charge was he assaulted the male police officer, his defence was it was self defence, absolute horeshit he knows they are coppers he sees them come from his left hand side to grab his brother. He knew full well they were police, the jury are a joke, as for his brother he needs locking up for a lot longer.
