Its a little ironic that Villa losing and liverpool winning will mean that the PL will get an extra team in the champions league
Imagine what CL money would be worth to Bournemouth or Brighton.

If I was Villa I’d chuck it in the hope Bournemouth and Brighton don’t get any where near the CL

Its a second tier trophy, we don't recruit to win the FA cup, or League cup. We recruit to win either, or both the EPL and CL, or the lot.

We’ve had a good season. Two more trophies, second in the League and with a lot of new signings bedding in. I’m optimistic we can kick on now and win back the PL next season. I think Arsenal could end up like Leicester or Blackburn. One win and never to be seen again.

Let them. We’d do the same. I have no love for Villa (despite my username!) - in fact it would be nice to see them brought down a peg or two - but they did well in Europe and fair play to them.

Hopefully they will still be hungover, not in the slightest bit arsed, out for a day in the sun and we can batter them for Pep’s last game.
