Pep to leave at the end of the season

Personally I would go for Andoni Iraola, I think he gets his team up for it and play great football. It could go to shit quickly under maresca
I rate Iraola but appointing him could turn to shit quickly. At least Maresca knows the club and several players he's worked with, and I think he is the best option we have right now.

No, mine was just a question! Have a conspiracy-free day for once.

Somebody said that sponsors wouldn't be able to get info about Pep, I just questioned it and used '98 WCF as an example of the powers that sponsors - if they are important enough - can weild.

Not every post is a confrontation, ffs.

I haven't the faintest clue whether he's leaving or not - I've never even heard of this Holt character either.

Denial phase? Denying what, exactly?

I wasnt confronting anybody, i was just saying that nike story was one of the conspiracy theories that spread in 98 after the final.

The denial refered to the state of the thread in the last couple of hours, just a silly observation

Just google “Leicester fans not happy with Maresca” or replace Leicester with Chelsea and you’ll see a lot of fans were not enamoured with him.

It’s a far cry from those Leicester and Chelsea fans you have “talked to”, think there’s an element of being economical with the truth in your post, seems a bit subjective.
You can google the opposite and find that too. All of this is subjective, from both sides. We are talking about opinions of opinions of opinions, of course it's subjective. But from what I know, most of their fans, Chelsea and Leicester, were enamoured with him... and damn well rightly so too!

I would guess some of the MEN fellas, Sam Lee, people like that. There are some that I feel get an absurd amount of abuse, mainly just for reporting negative news. I've seen people blame journos for City losing the title for breaking this story for example, which is absurd. As if anyone in an industry like this wouldnt go with a story this big
Whatever you think of City fans comments, the timing of it coming out, was extremely unhelpul (or mischievous), at the start of arsenal's penultimate game.

You're correct it didn't cost us the title, too many stupid draws against far worse teams did that, but it was done when it was done deliberately, of that I have no doubt, no matter how big the story. They tried it right before we played arsenal at home too, but it didn't get full traction that time.

He has to leave one day.
We will never ever experience the highs we have under pep.
Before he came I remember telling my dad we were going to get pep.
He doesn't bother with foreign teams.
I told him we were going to get the best manager ever.
I didn't think it would be as good as it's been.
Sometimes he's done mental things.
Fucked up team selections.
But he took little city to a place no team .
Barca.
Bayern.
The rags.
No team will ever be as good as the sides pep put together.
Thanks pep.
We all loved a dream .
Thanks .
Ctid.
This guy.
Or anyone else will always be a come down.
Not just this appointment but every appointment forever .

Replacements if I were to choose but I’m no DOF
1. Enrique
2, Arteta (I know)
3, Vinny
4. Iraola
5, Merasca

That’s my order anyway.
First 3 unavailable, 4th plays a different style to pep (more bielsa) and doesn’t have the cv of maresca

I don’t want Pep to leave or this period of dominance, Wembley trips and trophies to end but if Pep does stay one more then we will have the same circus repeating itself in 12 months time ( unless he signs a two year deal)

I am not sure how much the Pep news affected the performance on Tuesday (the schedule certainly did) but it has to have had some impact….its all about fine margins!

We have to move on at some point and if it is going to be Maresca then I trust the board will know what they are doing.

As I said I don’t want Pep to go, however although he got more right than wrong, he cost us in games such as the Champions League final against Chelsea with his tinkering and even this season away in Madrid with a strange starting eleven that left us very exposed.

For all the goals that Haaland has scored (and trophies we have won since he signed) I still don’t think Pep plays to his strengths…..the slow side to side build up play certainly doesn’t suit Haaland.

It’s been an unbelievable 10 years ( it wasn’t too bad in the 5 years previous to Pep) but let’s not forget that if the rumours are true and we are losing an absolute legend who has revolutionised not just City but English football….no individual is bigger than the club.

The future is still blue !

I’m hoping he turns round and says he’s doing his last year, put these fkrs back in their box
No doubt.

Happy we won the two cups, that we kept fighting whilst Arse limped to the title like a drunk 3 legged dog ... but this week has tested my nornal resilient resolve.

I've had a notion for on the last 2 months he was gone after this campaign... and that final possibility of nipping a final Premier league title was the fuel that kept me from facing the facts.

VAR taking the goal away Monday, us dropping points Tuesday on the heels of the Pep news... All on top of living in the states these days and the normal churn of a middle aged life... it's been a fucking week.

Pep meant so much to this club. If he's got one last twist to serve up I'm for it but I've started to make peace with the undeniable fact that the greatest era in the history of this club authored and orchestrated by Pep is rolling to an end and that last stop is only days away.

We don’t have a problem shifting season tickets, it’s matchday tickets on sale or that appear on the exchange that are resulting in empty seats.

It’s the one off charge of £50+ for an adult and £20/£30+ for a junior that’s the problem. We are a big club with a big local fanbase but with regards to tourists, we’re nothing compared to the Rags.

I work in town and use Picc train station every week day, even for midweek games they have train full’s of people pouring out from here, there and everywhere. Irish, Scottish, Welsh, southern accents.

When we’re at home, it’s mostly commuter trains from Gt Manchester full of blues and the club has priced out many locals.
Given that the club already has the income from the ST they should reduce the resale price to the point where all the tickets are sold. I suggest £20 or £10 for concessions and juniors, as a start.

what the fuck are you talking about?

his eldest, maria 25, lives in london, she's a model and an influencer, but she does sometimes come up to manchester to see her dad.

marius 22, lives in dubai, the ceo of 3 companies.

valentina 17, already lives with her mum in barcelona, studying politics and language

who exactly is moving?
It isn't hard to be CEO of a company worth £1.
