Seat Counters 25/26

The coop live event is fucking idiotic. Whoever thought of that needs sacking
I don’t think it is.

What is idiotic is making the fans pick between the parade and the event.

The parade should have been in the early Afternoon, and the event should have been in the early evening.

Telling fans they can only go to the parade or the event and not both is utterly stupid.

1000’s of fans would have gone to the event after the parade.

The Coop Live Arena is a 20 minute stroll from the NQ.

Pep and the players could have gone back to the CFA for a couple of hours, or gone straight to the ground and relaxed until the event.

The club won't be making any money on the ticket sales at the co-op event... Apart from on the daft hospitality seats... The venue will have a hire fee, staff to pay, production costs, security costs which will come off top line of sales.

Theres a difference between the pre-match things which might get 500 - 1000 people in, compared to a full venue
Why charge £15 then?

If they are thinking about cost of the venue, just do something in town like they usually do. Then everyone can go.

Now fans have to pick between the parade and the venue as well, which is daft

I have a strange feeling that whatever gets said at the normal press conference tomorrow could then help sales along.

The most frustrating thing is the club don't care if it sells out instantly or if it sells out on Sunday morning, how can the club that does so many things right still do so many things wrong
Its mind blowing really, like a marketing masterclass in how not to do it.

I feel so sorry for the City Fan Groups having to deal with some of the people at City appointed by Soriano and co.
Must be so frustrating, you are sorting out one fuck up whilst they are working on creating another one for you.

Like painting The Forth Bridge.

They have lost closeness to the fan base and are getting sales predictions badly wrong. They are working like we are in a growth situation which isn’t a growth situation. The way they have restricted season ticket sales to people who are already massive match goers is ridiculous. They need to be encouraging lapsed and new fans, and making it easy to get in the stadium. Even now they have a membership restriction in place for the Villa game, a game that should be a sellout and should have sales incentives as a loss leader in a new stand. They should have just whacked these tickets out at a reasonable price to let people try before they buy.

Stop talking sense mate

Another thing about Sunday.

If the NSL2 tickets would have been cheaper, fans who have given up their season tickets and walked away may have been tempted back for the match and to say goodbye to Pep, and in doing so, they may have decided to enquire about buying a season ticket for next season.

We’re not selling 2,671 seats in 3 days.

A huge fuck up by the directors once again.

So disappointing.

You could always help the Club shift some tickets mate if you are very concerned about empties.

I’m tempted by a ticket for the Villa game. Gave up my ST this season but as someone said, I’d like to be there for Pep’s farewell.

However, when I log in it still says ‘restricted sale.’ Is there a criteria I’m not aware of?

Sure I’ve got enough points and am a match day member.

I’m pretty much in the same position. Ex season ticket holder with 7000+ points and a match day member. But also getting the ‘restricted sale’.

I think this is a great point. They’ve made it pretty much impossible for people who don’t/ can’t attend loads of games (maybe can’t afford 35 games) to get a season ticket.

A lot of lapsed fans or ‘legacy’ fans are attending games here and there. How does a newer fan get to games regularly as well?

We need these people, otherwise how do we sell out the ground?

When did you buy your current membership mate? At the moment, you can only buy a Villa ticket if you bought your membership on or before 18th June last year so I’m guessing thousands and thousands of members don’t qualify. I’d expect that restriction to be lifted today and all match day members will be allowed to buy one.
