Pep to leave at the end of the season

Announcement at 11am apparently.
The pressers should be interesting.

I presume the red cartel wanker journalists will be doing a conga around the room the absolute cunts.
I would imagine it was always planned thus. But with the title still a possibility.

They took it away from the club, and from Pep. And from us fans. There is no doubt about it.

Affected the game, sealed the fate of the title, but worse, took all the intended emotion and direct closeness out of it, and put a whole other dimension and context to it.

For all their bashing we have endured, the loaded articles, the 115s, the provocative questions, the spins, the innuendos and the manipulation over the years (which btw did not affect me that much), this is the one that really sickens me. Genuinely raging over it. This is one blow I will carry around for a long time.

For a media that have largely ignored or underplayed his massive achievements they are very interested in him leaving. Its wall to wall coverage.
I don't think there's been as much coverage on it as there should have been, or as much as when Klopp said he was leaving.
Although that'll maybe change when its officially announced.

It's not going to happen any time soon but at some point when it can't damage City or him, I'd like him to be entirely honest about how he and the club have been treated. Now that would be a press conference worth watching :-)
Football should be for everybody and I am old enough to remember Cloughie winning the First Division on promotion and subsequently 2 European Cups. This sadly will not be ALLOWED to happen again. The game belongs to the fans and we deserve an explanation of the shenanigans of the regulatory bodies, particulary the PL and the circus act of the clowns dressed in black 38 times a season.

So, we're all agreed:

"Maresca plays similar football to Pep, so it should be easy for the players"

"This squad of players can't play the way Pep wants them to"

"You have to give new players time to learn the coach"

"A new coach coming in might get the best out of the underperforming players"

"Pep's way of playing has been sussed out by the other coaches"

"The board won't want anybody who can't play the City way"

Glad that's all cleared up, then :-)

I hope Pep tells them all to go and take a walk on the M6. Absolute parasitic leeches, everyone apart from Martin Samuel.

Honourable mention to Jeff Powell today for his mail column calling out the VAr manipulation to the title.

I like Marmoush, really hoped he would be a key player for us at this point, but his none performances in the FA Cup Final may be the end of the road for him. In the first half there was a bit where Rodri quite clearly bollocked him for out of possession/pressing/not pressing. Couldn't believe what I was seeing. Bloke has hardly featured all season, gets to start the FA Cup Final and wasn't even putting in a shift. Inexcusable.
It was incredible. He was literally walking around and not pressing anyone. I thought Marmoush would be good but he can’t play for 90 minutes.

I think in years to come the may be an interesting biography and he'll be pretty frank in that. I don't expect we'll hear much until city and 115 are well and truly in the rear view mirror

Thanks mate. I think once the news drops I will be alright. Then I can process it a bit in my own way. It's the waiting that's the hard part, haha. Thankfully well rested and just getting on with work this morning. It's a sunny Friday and a Bank Holiday, lots of reasons to be cheerful and thankful. Can't help but feel emotional about Pep, sadly.
Will be OK Bob - after all we could have Alan Ball . . .

I should say, on the football side of things, I think it's the right time for Pep to go. If it means the glory days end then so be it. He's just been here for so long now, and through so much in my personal life, that it's going to be tough getting used to him not being our manager after being a constant for so long.
