Pep to leave at the end of the season

As long as Kaldoon stays, we will be there or thereabouts. The new manager will not be a Pep clone because it simply does not exist. The record books will not show the hurdles Pep swept aside, the red cartel, a poisonous msm, pigmol, the deeply corrupt premier league...pissing on their chips with record after record victories perhaps his greatest achievement...Suprene talent is rare, combined with relentless drive is rarer still...we have been blessed to have him

I get from the video that maybe he wanted to announce it on this date, the anniversary of the arena attack and if that’s true then that makes Oli Holt an even bigger c**t than we all thought
I hope that **** is refused entry on Sunday.... mind you, the little maggot probably won't have the balls to turn up

he will soon get bored of his new 8milion quid gaff in barcelona

Pedralbes is hardly Deansgate after all, is it.

it's actually about 100yards from where he used to live with his wife (she now lives in Eixample).

Exactly this. Fergie had no obstacles, just officials who bowed down to him.
Pep fought them all AND WE WON

We need Khaldoon

I fully believe it was the likes of Pep that put piss can into an earlier retirement than expected. I know Pep wasn't in the league yet but he had Piss Can literally shaking on the bench in the CL final just a couple of seasons before he chucked it in. I think it was then that piss can knew that a new breed of managers were coming though, much more tactically astute and detailed, influenced by Pep who was spearheading it all. I think he was smart enough to realise he was going to be a dinosaur if he stuck around any longer and bailed.

No manager comes close to Pep.
to be honest i wouldn't blame Fergie if he did realise that.

he was no longer a young man and football was indeed changing.

you can argue all you like about who was the better manager but you can't argue over who was the most influential.

this has been Peps time, his era, not just a man, not a myth, he is legend.

and we have been so so lucky to witness it live

A part of me wonders if Pep knew, deep down, that the amount of effort and emotional turmoil he put himself through over the course of 22/23 and 23/24 - to make history with City - was the absolute last inch of himself that he could really give. Maybe the original plan was for him to leave in the summer of 2025, but the dire situation we ended up in before Christmas 2024 meant that he felt obligated to at least put the City team on the right track again before departing. I don't know if this is what did for Pep and Cris, but if it is... wow. So he's given us a bonus year, put us in the right place again, on the forward track, and has stepped down happy in the knowledge that we're not going to fall to bits without him.
