Well actually not the case. We are in fact 7th but admittedly not far behind the most expensive. Here in Greece, petrol and diesel are both more expensive than the UK-so let's say you're mistaken rather than wrong. I'll return to the sun lounger now. Yamas. :-)

Labour had to ...... Mays Government introduced legislation so that subsequent governments had to abide by the Net Zero targets .

So a government with a majority that large it cannot make amendments to current laws, wise up, with that fucking lunatic Milliband Minister for Energy & Climate change they have made it worse. How? By this week putting into law no more licenses for oil/gas recovery. Indeed even the Rosebank site one of the most plentiful in terms of oil, approximately 100 million barrels of best quality oil available. But no we are going to import oil/gas from Norway who get from the same seabed as we do. If that’s right I’ll stand fucking. To top that lunacy we are now negotiating with Putin for oil/gas imports. Insane.

For the record I have never voted Tory. I have to my eternal shame voted Labour back in the day it seemed the right thing to do for a working class lad. Not now with metropolitan London elite running the party they are fucking disgraceful.

Anyway fuck that, everyone that knows a scintilla about pensions knows ours is unacceptable in terms of percentage to earnings, most of the progressive governments implemented a state pension relative to earnings.
Right? Wrong? Mistaken? What gives you the right to adjudicate on these matters?

No, but we aren't the most expensive as you stated, therefore you were/are mistaken/wrong-you choose. Did a team ever win the league when they finished 7th?
The answer is not an opinion, it's a fact and anything other than "no" is wrong.

I didn't reply to you on anything regarding pensions but you're right in that our SP is not good enough, but that comes as a result of governments of all flavours not being honest and getting the electorate to contribute or save more when needed. Fortunately for our generation( born 1961) we were part of the golden age where final salary schemes were the norm and many of my/our ilk will have that income to help us through retirement. I've been drawing down on mine for 9 years after early retirement at 56 so I do have a bit of an idea how they work.

Sounds similar to me, I retired at 56, because I was ITK regarding our occupational pension scheme. As a trustee I knew what was coming after Gordon Brown fucked up DB schemes with his infamous tax raid. We went from surplus to a minus because the scheme had to pay tax on growth which they didn’t before Brown fucked it. This is an area where I get pissed off, I retired three years earlier than planned because of Browns fuck up. So when some leftie gives it the big I know more than you on DB schemes I tend to fuck them off.

You are correct that idiotic creep May introduced the legislation, woke up one day thought Net Zero sounds good 2030 better. No calculations no impact analysis, and you wonder why a detest politicians. That said with large majority Labour could have amended it. They didn’t & stopped more approvals for more North Sea oil, industrial sabotage.

I am at Portrush in Northern Ireland, the sea temperature to is 9c last year it was 10c how does this fit with warming sea. Who is taking the piss out of who?
Ask yourself this question - who benefits from the elimination of cheap energy from hydrocarbons & reduction of cheap air travel?
Well it maybe the thousands that fly to COP whatever the fuck in their private jets. It isn’t average Joe who wants a fortnight in Majorca because that will be banned in the future to “save the planet “ 100% piss take by the wealthy. Wise up everyone FFS.
