It was disgraceful how long it took them to get Pellegrini out on to the pitch to say goodbye. Most people gone by then. I wasn't in the stadium, but I always felt bad about that.

It didn't help that it was a hot day and they closed all the bars so nobody could get a drink of water.

The players all thought we wanted to see their wives and kids walk around the pitch so took forever getting them down pitchside and by then everyone’d had enough. We were there for the manager and players, we didn’t want to see anyone else. It was about 45 minutes after the game had finished, everyone had Betty Swollocks and suburn.

I've put win 'cos I think Villa will be fuelled with a debilitating level of the amber nectar. But I did have a chuckle when I cast my mind back to the last game at Maine Road. And so on the same vein with Pep, Stonesy 'n Bernardo leaving it's got 0-1 written over it with a Stonesy oggy 'n a Bernardo blast over the bar from 12 yds! As with all post match celebrations at our ground they’ll be interminably and needlessly delayed by the painstakingly slow erection of a pointless stage adorned with all the requisite advertising.

It does my fucking swede in watching the energy slowly going out of the atmosphere as feelings of boredom and confusion start to seep in.

The pitch itself is a fucking stage and one surrounded by huge advertising boards, why these clowns have to build another one has always baffled me
