It didn't help that it was a hot day and they closed all the bars so nobody could get a drink of water.It was disgraceful how long it took them to get Pellegrini out on to the pitch to say goodbye. Most people gone by then. I wasn't in the stadium, but I always felt bad about that.
The players all thought we wanted to see their wives and kids walk around the pitch so took forever getting them down pitchside and by then everyone’d had enough. We were there for the manager and players, we didn’t want to see anyone else. It was about 45 minutes after the game had finished, everyone had Betty Swollocks and suburn.
