EFL Playoffs time

While I think the number of hair-pull incidents seems to have gotten a bit crazy, I am all for any rules that make defenders less "grabby"

Stop fucking grabbing people.

The fact pulling and grabbing is a defender's first instinct is exactly the problem.

Now start giving the cards at corners for any grab, not just hair.

He probably tried to grab his shirt as he wasn't looking at the player. Silly decision.

Just because they weren't given, doesn't mean that that hair pull shouldn't be given. It was clearly the right decision. The two you referenced were equally clearly wrong.

Hair pulls are classed as violent conduct, most of the ones this season are anything but that. It's in the laws in case of aggressively yanking the hair, not for accidental grabs that do fuck all.

For the actual impact the action has on a match it's a totally over the top punishment.

We need to have everyone grow long hair next season. You know, marginal gains and all that.

Edit - forgot to say, its all the other grabbing and holding going unpunished that is causing these to happen. It's become a normal way of defending and all the grabbing needs to be stopped somehow.
