It doesn’t imply any of those things and to think so is laughably absurd. If you think this you are not a serious person. The man is literally a professional footballer playing in the world’s most competitive league. You think he got there by not being bothered if he improves?

He just externalises his emotions that way, it means literally… and I mean literally in the truest sense here… literally nothing.
 
We're playing well for what is a postseason friendly with a few backups on the pitch. Can't really read too much into this.

Sav was arguably the best player on the pitch apart from the important final action.

Reijnders is just comically bad.

Feels like a final game of the season with nothing to play for.

It demonstrates one thing, and raises a question.
Firstly, the rags are pathetically insecure. Truly, there is pathos to it. They are breathing a sigh of relief, imagining that they'll now get back to their “place”. Next year is going to be really hard for them, when the Pep alibi is no longer valid, and they find they are still just another club.
But why would a journalist bother to report that? Hasn't he got anything worthwhile to report about the actual game? I mean, of all the neutral supporters who might be reading that, who on earth does he think gives a fuck?
 
Didn't realise it was the League 1 play off final, no great feelings for Bolton, but some A1 conts in Stockport's support so they can fk right off!

Pretty much what you'd expect from two sides with nothing to play for, CL secured and one of them coming off a European final win a few days ago.
