Aston Villa (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Whilst everyone is getting misty eyed and that’s fine, that line up was appalling, we don’t have another game and Villa played a final three days ago, new stand opening let’s go out on a high and batter these gobby fuckers. Pep didn’t give a shit about this game which to me is baffling, to not give a shit and it means you are ending your ten year stint with a probable defeat. It reminded me of all those derbies he lost to fucking Ole’s at the wheel when he rested players. Sorry I don’t understand it.
PEP OUT

Not long back. Long hard day! Will post other stuff on other threads but microcosm of our season. Fringe players letting themselves down when they have a. Chance and inexplicablE VAR decisions. The high boot in the first half was a clear one and in reading VAR put “the wrong image” up for the team offside. Plus la change. Love you city

Imagine if that VAR call actually decided the title. Game means nothing and it's still made me angry.
It doesn't anymore than missed easy chances, poor defensive howlers or keeping errors. Perspective fella!

Disappointing line up and result. I'm assuming Pep protected players expected to play in the World Cup. Ultimately the result does not matter. End of an era. Pretty emotional send off. What a ten years! Interesting times ahead.

pointless. meaningless. hurtful, and downright cruel by the match officials and VAR to fudge Foden's goal
Even the Players running at the referee, saying they fucked up, he's pointing out it was VAR not him

Look, the Premeir league are a disgrace, it's now political and Manchester City have to do something and stand up and call it out and say enough is enough. It's punishing football and a great football club that stood up and said we are not cheats, just because of a fake file containing fake emails. Manchester City have cleared their name once before in a court of law with CAS, and that should have been that.

But the great period of our club history had to be tarnished again by the Premier League and the Media (SKYSPORTS)
We all know who's behind all this shit slinging and witch hunt, the nosy neighbours hiding behind the curtains

Only tarnished if you listen to the press/ media and dipper, rags and gooner fans.

I dont listen to any other the above so Citys achievements arent tarnished for me.

That Villa comeback was all on him 4 years ago, changed history
Today wasn't about the game itself in any way. But how many games like that have we seen over the last two seasons? It's clear Pep has given us absolutely everything of himself the last 10 years and had no more to give.

The 2017/18 Centurions season we had players like Walker, Kompany, Bernardo, David Silva, Fernandinho, Stones, Gundogan, Sané, Sterling, Foden, Jesus, Yaya and Aguero. Who in the remaining squad is close to the level of those players?

I have to say that I'm excited about the future as we have some young players with potential. We may have a very good team in 2 or 3 years time. But I'm very much of the opinion that we asked too much of Pep for too long.
Not many young players make it at city

It’s not Peps job to protect players for the World Cup, they are all paid by City, we played with no centre forward but have two good ones on the payroll who were rested. Sorry that doesn’t sit well with me.

Anyone moaning about the result needs to do one.
Today was about the end of an era, a very very successful era to boot.
I've seen posts on here moaning that sheikh Mansour wasn't here.
Maybe just maybe he's trying to keep his country safe but nevermind, small attention to detail.
Another poster mentioned khaldoon not being there.
Deary me!

We've lost 3 huge cogs in our present history.
These last 10 years have outdone any preconceptions we ever had about pep, he has given us unbridled joy, so any bellend or gobshite coming on here giving it shit about the result needs to wind it in.

Thank you Pep for the memories.

The game was always going to be secondary to the occasion but i was surprised there were so many changes. The first half was a stroll and Villa were just going through the motions. I think Emery must have give them a kick up the arse at halftime because they were a different side after the break.
No fucking idea what was going on with Fodens goal but on all the stills he looked well onside. This shit has to stop..
Emotional farewells wasn't the word, now on the tram going for a beer.

Better team in the first half but in so many games this season we didn't manage to make our superiority tell by more than a single goal. How typical that, again as with so many other games this season, we didn't come out in the second half, very disappointing for Pep's last game in charge. Nobody appeared that bothered though which was a bit irritating. Villa wanted the win, we wanted the summer hols.
