Enzo Maresca

The guy hasn't even been appointed yet, let alone took a training session, let alone played a friendly, let alone played a competitive game, and some of you lot are already sacking him.

Take a fucking look at yourselves, on today of all days.
Because hes not Pep, not hard to grasp x

Going to have to spend a lot of money in the Summer, as a lot of these squad players are not good enough. Needs a huge clear out, and we build again.

Definetly wouldn´t be my choice ,but hopefully he can keep the team fighting for titles and play nice attacking football.

Whoever comes in will have to work with Hugo to shift players and bring better ones in. As well as Bernardo and John boy I think we have seen the last of Kova, Ake, Lewis and Tijani. Savinho looked ok first half and then, like a lot of others disappeared in the second half, but I think he could turn things around. Nico G is another who the new manager may give a chance to. Telling that Pep preferred to play no out and out striker all game but had Marmoush on the bench.

I think we need two or possibly three players that could pretty much step into the first 11 and improve us on day one plus three or four others to improve the quality of the squad. Two top notch midfielders, two forwards and two defenders.

Interesting dilemma is Jack Grealish. Will the new manager fancy him, will he improve the squad?
I think we need three top quality players in these positions
Left back
Right back
Centre mid (Anderson!)

And then move out players who would never challenge for a starting place
Reijnders
Savinho
Lewis
Kovacic
Marmoush

The first three I agree should go. I would keep Kovacic and Marmoush as long as they're prepared to sit on the bench.

Enzo is the necessary stop-gap before we appoint Vinny or another ?? Too be fair, who would you take now? There is no and never will be another 'Pep', its second-best at best from here on in, like it or not. We still have excellent owners and an infrastructure second-to-none. This not not United post-Fergie. But we will have to lower expectations, we just will. We had the best of the best. He's gone. Let the good times roll, but accept it will be a little more 'normal'?

If we have Rodri, Gonzalez, O’Reilly and a “newcomer” Plus Foden and Cherki as players to play that bit further forward, we don’t need Kovacic

Marmoush is a 50/50 call, but realistically is he ever going to be happy playing second fiddle to Haaland whilst in the prime of his years!

Nobody is the greatest manager in the history of the game. That cannot be the standard. It's not fair
Absolutely true and I agree, I wasnt arguing I was stating hes just not Pep but no one is. There's higher contenders than Maresca in City fans eyes - Iraola, Glasner, Xavi, Enrique, Emery and Komps have all proved to be competent mangers in the Prem - Maresca feels like a Pep fan boy with very little managerial competency and history to speak of and feels like an unknown. Pep deserves to be followed by a big name not an assistant manager. He's onto a hiding for nothing from us as fans unless he hits the ground running. I wanted a year more of Pep to understand the gravity of him leaving.
