As an update, my wife has contacted the Fold via Facebook and we have had an apology, with the explanation the they didn't know that the tributes were being broadcast

What a load of bollocks. A dedicated tv for Blues to watch is switched to another channel halfway through the tributes they didnt know were being broadcast.
I think the landlady has realised she could be losing a lot of business and is desperately trying some damage limitation.

Fair enough, if that’s the truth. Next time though go half a mile up the road to The Roebuck. We go in the fold now and then and it’s grim in comparison. God knows where the ten bob millionaires comment comes from, it’s usually full of pensioners or workmen after their shift.
