I’m interested in who he’s going play as the ten.
He has to trust Cherki imo.

Hopefully not. Will he bring Jack back into the fold I wonder.
It might depend on whether there are contractual issues between Maresca and Chelsea to resolve. When do we expect this to be announced. Won't be today given the parade/after party. I'm calling Wednesday.
That would be fantastic. Arguably the best leader we've had. All the players talk about how he helped them like no other. Having that winners mentality would be brilliant for a squad that no longer has much experinece of winning the top prizes.I wonder whether Fernandinho was back at the Etihad for more than Pep leaving yesterday.
Is he going to be a welcome addition to the backroom staff?
OkYou will be in for a shock then. We’ve already been linked with rebuilding the midfield which will do for a start.
Iraola is still available.
This is much better than a "dont park in the boss's spot" type reverenceThe fundametal principles and identity of how we play have been written into our dna by Pep - its the same as Cruyff did at Barca.
Thats the process now, the new managers must now align with those principles, but like Pep said yesterday, they must be themselves, bring fresh energy and improve upon it
Just how Pep looks back on Cruyff's time at Barca, in the furure we will (and do) hold Pep as our very own Cruyff.
Pep has painted our cathedral
You really think people like Soriano, Khaldoon,Viana haven't done any due diligence and appointed him because Pep didn't care about his legacy and just wanted his mate appointed ?I don’t want to be negative but this Maresca bloke doesn’t seem a top class replacement. Maybe he will be brilliant but his managerial career seems pretty modest and his main qualification appears to be he’s mates with Pep.
Obviously if it is him he needs to be given a chance but we can’t set our standards by the fact the rags and others have appointed dross, he either hits the ground running or gets fucked off.
City aren’t the City of yesteryear and Brian who? We pay top dollar for players, staff and have the countries best academy, mediocrity may be ok at the rags but not for City.
How do you think he became 'Pep's mate'? The club heirarchy have reportedly been watching him for some time, and that was why they brought him to City as a b-coach in the first place.I don’t want to be negative but this Maresca bloke doesn’t seem a top class replacement. Whilst Vinnie is emotionally a good choice, I agree that Maresca’s CV is better in a tougher league. What had Arteta won when he went to VARsenal, but was given time and a lot of money. If he can win a cup and a title, don’t see why Maresca can’t win much more with the backing we have. Plus he has proved he can win trophies. Enrique has been brilliant in the CL, but unproven in the PL. Give him money, backing and let’s see where it takes us.
Everyone expects a drop-off and expectations are lower which should be a positive for Maresca. New impetus and energy will not be a bad thing. Even Pep admitted this that his energy was depleted and which City fans have picked up on over the past couple of seasons.Next season the pressure will be on lego head, so I think we will go under the radar, it'll be a whole new experience for teams coming up against us, they are used to a Pep team and Pep tactics. Maresca is similar but he has his own philosophy.
Without big dogs like Enrique, Kompany and Flick etc the current field of candidates is very limited - is Maresca still really the best available option now that Iraola has come on to the market? Never mind previous due diligence I have my doubts about Enzo, his experience, his tactics and his 'energy' quotient. You really think people like Soriano, Khaldoon,Viana haven't done any due diligence and appointed him because Pep didn't care about his legacy and just wanted his mate appointed ?
