I expected an average, underwhelming event. It was the opposite. The trophy parade was epic. Kompany, Fernandinho, Noel etc. Shaw announcing she’s staying. The Catalan band. It worked. Not seen another club put in such a professional show. But….no beer on draft!

Feels like a proper closure on the last 10 years. Everybody got to say bye to a host of legends.

City have successfully opened up one of the most impressive stands in Europe, put on a brilliant end of season party celebrating a cup double, saying bye to some of the biggest legends the club will ever have, and the biggest legend in the club’s history, putting it all together really well, in a packed Co-op Arena the club helped build, and still we have people moaning.

Got to say I find it a bit disrespectful that the women only got a few mins of stage time considering they actually won the league. Thought the club would have been more inclusive instead of completely showing the patriarchy still rules society. Thought we were more forward thinking than going "alright lasses, you did well, won your cute little trophy, now let the men through!!"

Sad to see the Patriarchy still rules football and our club.

Been a good event overall though, just a bit sad about that

If you asked all the women’s team tonight - Did you feel disrespected at this event - none would say, yes. Would they?

It’s Peps leaving do. We are celebrating him. It’s nice the kids team and women can join in but don’t forget the real reason 20,000 fans are in the co-op.

The women had their own event last week.
