All things Jack Grealish

Great to see him at the after party.. hope he can get himself fit over summer and have a great last chapter in his career somewhere

Yes we have at least 5 players who are not good enough. Jack proved he was good enough but went off the rails after the treble. Maybe bit more humble now after the loan?

Sterling had a run in with the club/pep at some point so not surprised by his absence.

The point is we are looking meh at present. I would ship out 5. Get the midfield sorted and have Jack back. Next season that would be enough to keep us in the mix.
Let’s bring back Kalvin Philips and give Stuart Pearce another go in the dugout while we’re at it.

Who's your 5?

Apart from the obvious one's who are off mine would be,

Sav
Marmoush
Nico G
TJ

Can't think of a fifth.

A year ago Nunes would have been the fifth but he has come through. Could we say the same of the 4 above?
Lewis, Dias, Kovacic ?

The point is everyone can see he made a good contribution to the treble season but then became one of those who Pep decided “couldn’t start at the bottom of the mountain again”. We’ve moved past n, Doku is getting better, Cherki is a super player, hopefully Phil comes back so there’s no place for Jack as far as I can see
He won't be a starter but I'd have him back in our squad over Savinho and Marmoush any day of the week

Absolutely. I can think of several games last year in which we conceded late equalisers, where Jack’s ability to retain possession and draw fouls would have been very useful. Unless we get a decent offer, I would try and reintegrate him into the squad.

Would be interesting if Marmoush and/or Savinho were to leave early in the transfer window.

So your saying that Pep paid £100m for a player, who won (3 leagues), The treble, plus a league cup (7 trophies in 3 years in total), made him and England Regular without knowing that he was a piss head?

Did Pep sign a Piss head or turn him into one?

Either way Jack Grelish won more trophies in 3 seasons at City, (7)!

Than Geroge Best and Gazza did in 31 seasons in English football combined! (6)
The Gazza 1 was debatable considering his antics in that final trying his level best to get sent off

So many people very easily swayed by his likeable personality. If he was good enough for us, we wouldn't have shipped out our record signing to Everton on loan. Wish him all the best, always going to have that iconic treble picture but he simply isn't good enough and needs to move on for everybody's benefit. Anybody thinking he would get in the side ahead of Doku has brain damage.
Him and Doku are two very different styles.

I’d keep him. We need that diversity to go for all 5 competitions.

I could see him starting in the Community Shield for us if he proves his fitness, purely through lack of alternative players available. Whether he's still with us come the opening day of the new season, I highly doubt. I think he'll return to Everton for another loan.

It’s incredible the amount of people stick up for grealish despite everything.

I too posted years ago I had heard from a chef who worked at city that grealish was causing the club a lot of problems and that he was consistently staying at cfa as he and his girlfriend where always falling out having drama etc.

Grealish was left out of games due to his drinking. Fulham away being the most obvious (whilst we where in the middle of a title race ffs).

Grealish has probably been the most unprofessional player of this current era yet people will still stick up for him. He is trouble and the reason he was moved on is because of his influence on others.

He may be a nice bloke or loveable to some. But to me he needs to grow up. He js a father ffs. Just last week he was at a strip club pissed up with Pickford.

Doku is miles better on and off the pitch.

I do think he's very decent lad, and a very good player, but he has a problem that he isn't dealing with.

And as you mentioned Pickford, there's another player with issues. I couldn't say he's another alcoholic, but he's a heavy drinker and has a big gambling problem. I wouldn't touch a keeper with a gambling problem with a 10-foot barge pole if I was a manager but he's not even the first England first-choice keeper to have had a known, serious gambling issue.

I think Jack now has a fresh start and a second chance under a new manager unless City and Everton can agree a transfer fee for Jack. Personally, I think Jack would like to play for City again next season.

I would as well compared to playing for those wankers
