Pierce Charles (Sheff Wednesday GK)

No, it's 3 seasons between 15 & 21 I think and left when he was 16.

Edit: association trained obviously
Still a bonus.

With Nico OR, Foden and Lewis (and Trafford for now) we have a decent amount along with some top prospect from the academy

Available for well below market value given Wednesday's financial troubles and the fact he only has a year left on his contract.

If he's at all willing, madness not to sign him either as number 2 or to send him straight out on loan. Huge potential.

I wonder if there's a huge opportunity to use Wednesday to blood some of our youngsters?

From that video he almost always never catches the ball? In a lot of cases he just parried the ball out centrally around the 6 yard box to give the opposition a second chance? Great save to the right from that deflected shot though. Would need to see how he defends corners and long throws particularly as hes not tallest GK..?

If he signs it’s a clear sign that Donna is going to become the clear first choice in all competitions and this lad is an emergency option. We wouldn’t rotate them like we did with Trafford and Ortega.

he seems very small, a bit of gamble for a 2nd choice gk

Maybe there would be a sufficient gap between 1st and 2nd choice that Charles would more or less be backup, with Donnarumma playing every game he's available for. We don't have to act like we did with Trafford and guarantee Cup fixtures.

A long term injury outside of a transfer window would cause issues though.

Could do with a better second choice keeper but that is fanatasy football. Height isn't a major issue. He did cope with Championship football.

He is very young for a top 2nd choice keeper to a first choice goalie who might not stay long. One he won’t want to be on the bench at that age and 2 if Donna left end of next year he wouldn’t be ready to take over.

I think he could be more of a profit / Trafford replacement in a few years.
