Elliot Anderson | Opening bid rejected (p189)

Is he the one we'll be negotiating with for Anderson? Good luck to Hugo Viana

That right-hand photo. Can anybody actually work that photo out? I can't understand whose arm that hand belongs to, and I can't understand what's below it, at all. It's disturbing, actually. And at the bottom, is that someone's armpit, someone's navel, or what? It looks like an absolutely cocked-up AI photo.
Ugh…

Good news for us, apparently United didn't want him anyway and refuse to get drawn into a bidding war. Now where have I heard that before?

This being the club who have broken the British transfer record more times than anyone else. Yep they like to overpay outright for their players!

Forest have hopes of keeping everyone, but realistically getting rid of one or two could be too attractive for them. I very much see this happening and forest nabbing someone like Fernandes from west ham or João gomes from wolves at half the price.

More PR guff and Mashiter from BBC United - Mediacity.

United are unwilling to overpay, or get drawn into protracted negotiations.

No deal has been struck between Forest and City and the clubs are far apart on their valuation for the 23-year-old, meaning the situation could still change.

The talk on social media (I know!) has been that we're his preferred destination.

It’s the usual bullshit
Clear Anderson wants city and it’s been in the works for a while.
Forest are Trying to get united in a bidding war while United are using the price as the excuse for him not being interested
If Caicedo is the benchmark, then surely we just say yes he coast £115m but he’s worth about £60m

I reckon it will all be down to the add ons
We will say £80m
Forest will say £100m

There was talk of it being a 65m release clause I guess because no European football. No one sure if this is true.

Media will always spin it as United can’t compete financially when he just prefers City.

I did read that 97m would get it done but numerous reports out there some have to wait and see. Is true though there are transfers that have set precedent and he’s English which adds value.

I wonder if city will include Rico in the deal? I’m sure they enquired about him last year. Makes sense for both parties.

The only place I’ve ever seen release clauses mentioned is in here, my guess in the dark is around £90 mill with some add ons.
