That's what I thought too but others have said that it looks better in person. Often the case with photos.Thought it looked washed out but each to their own. Maybe it was because it was sunny though that's not a problem we often have!
It's more about the price and the fact that we have to release 3+ new kits every season that I dont like. I want the latest shirt as much as the next fan but there is zero chance I'm paying £80 for one no matter how much I may like it.Glad to see so many people liking the new home shirt — ultimately, all that matters is that we sell as many as possible.
I do wonder, though, whether it’s even possible for PUMA to design a kit that pleases the entire fanbase. Maybe the age range is just too broad, and perhaps traditional kits have simply been done to death.
Either way, this is year one of a 10-year deal with PUMA, so we’d better get used to it.
Personally, monochrome badges just look a bit cheap and nasty to me, and white socks don’t really feel like us either. But hey ho — if we win the league in it, I might have a rethink.
I said exactly the same, that would have worked really well. Too much white in the full kit for me.Only change I'd have made was adding a gradient from white to blue on the socks, but it looks fantastic on TV.
I spread the cost out now. Instead of buying a new kit every season, I only buy a shirt if it’s nice and 95% of our kits are crap so I only buy three or four in a decade. It's more about the price and the fact that we have to release 3+ new kits every season that I dont like. It’s good to do things differently and not always look back to the past. There’ll be a kit that we’ve never had the likes of before that is looked at as a classic in decades to come and people will say ‘would love a remake of our 2028-29 kit, that was an all-timer’.Glad to see so many people liking the new home shirt — ultimately, all that matters is that we sell as many as possible.

Yes, this is my favourite colour combination too and 'proper' City imo. We've worn it more than any other combination, but mostly in the first half of the 20th century. It looks cool and no other team has those exact colours. I know loads on here love us in sky blue socks but I just think it looks too soft, as do white socks. Lazio and Coventry have worn both, but no other team has ever worn navy socks with sky blue shirts and white shorts. It’s good to do things differently and not always look back to the past. But we don’t really often have traditional City kits of sky shirts, white shorts and navy socks.

Since my first kit bought as a nipper (the 1985-87 PHILLIPS shirt), we’ve only had our traditional colour combination a handful of times.
5-1 vibes too.Yes, this is my favourite colour combination too and 'proper' City imo. We've worn it more than any other combination, but mostly in the first half of the 20th century. But I know I'm in the minority.
Try bluemoon retro on FB. Top blue and the kits are brilliant. I’ve bought a good few off him and they never disappoint. It's more about the price and the fact that we have to release 3+ new kits every season that I dont like. There tends to be a one month gap in between kit launches...Have we got confirmation on the 2nd and 3rd that have been doing the rounds yet?

I was at the game and its not my favourite strip. It looks like someone forgot to use colour fast persil. Maybe it will grow on me.That's what I thought too but others have said that it looks better in person. Often the case with photos.
