The Lancashire Fold today's disgusting behaviour.

Given how much online reviews are a part of service culture, I can't understand the logic in intentionally antagonising your customers like that.

Used to live in Middleton. There’s a huge blue following that go from the Fold.

Must have been just one or two ignorant bar staff.

Interesting to see a thread about The Lancashire Fold on Bluemoon.
My mum worked there as a barmaid from 1980 -1986 doing 5 afternoons a week, until she retired.
And then we had her funeral wake there in 1997.
It was not a pub I went in very often,I much preferred The Roebuck as it was a lot closer to our home .
Although us Alky lads tended to go to The Radclyffe Arms in Middleton Junction as it was more of a disco pub that played music and had lots of attractive female patrons.
(My mum also worked at The Old Boars Head in Middleton from the mid 60s until 1980, so she had plenty of experience serving drinks to thirsty Middletonians).

Frequent the roebuck and boars head quite a lot, especially the roebuck. I’m a sucker for a pint of Diamond.

What a load of bollocks. A dedicated tv for Blues to watch is switched to another channel halfway through the tributes they didnt know were being broadcast.
I think the landlady has realised she could be losing a lot of business and is desperately trying some damage limitation.
Ffs. Simple mistake. Give em a break. Jeez...

Lived almost opposite this pub growing up. Not been in for years though. Sounds like poor behaviour from the staff on this occasion.

Red stupidity knows no bounds as our Peckham friends outside the Emirates have shown us

I know there’s an Adlington near Horwich? ;)
There's only about 30 miles between Adlington ( Lancs ) and Adlington ( Cheshire ) I always think it's odd when you get two places so close together, did no one ever think when they were looking for a name for whichever one came second. Shall we think of some new name or just copy that one down the road? Unimaginative twats.

Normally when it means something descriptive like Eccleston, 3 in the NW, or the River Calder, 3 in Lancashire and one in Cumberland. or the Dee.

I’m sure Nedum lived on Mainway for years or around that neck of the woods.
Kiddo lives round there also.
Kiddo used to live on Kirkway, near to where it meets Kingsway.
As you already mentioned,Nedum was on Main way, not far from Bernard Manning's house.
At the top of Mainway ,just as you turned right onto Hardfield Road was the bungalow where Colin Crompton (Wheel tappers and Shunters social club) lived in the 70s.
A few more bungalows down Hardfield Road was the residence of Frank "Foo Foo" Lamarr.
His back garden was adjacent to my mum and dad's back garden. He wasn't seen very often as he was at his club in town until the early hours of the morning and then slept during the day.
And lastly, a further couple of bungalows down, lived John McGrath, who was manager of Preston North End during the 90s.
He was also a childhood friend of my Uncle Derek, and I was introduced to him when he was playing for Newcastle at Maine Road, when I was about 11/12 years old.
