Definitely David Luiz, you could see it was personal from both. Cucurella was the one we were going to sign but the Chelsea Yank owners decided to make a statement by paying double what we offered. Yep, that definitely made a statement right enough.

Won't be Curcurella as he only joined Brighton in 2021/22 season, Sergio left for Bracelona at the same time. Unlikely they ever played against each other in the PL. Sergio definitely had a dislike for Luiz, especially after the non sending off at the Etihad.

That game is the last time I recall a City side collectively losing their heads on a football pitch. Aguero and Fernan's reds in that game were fucking stupid and probably cost us the title that year.
