Right back options

Porro again is another spineless player...goes missing when the going gets tough....he is a far worse version of Joao Cancello

if he sticks with his 3-2-4-1 then fullbacks won't be necessary as such but wing backs and Porro is a wing back by trade, Ait-Nueri would also. blossom in this systen tbf in theory

--------------------Goalkeeper-----------------
----Khush--------Guhei-------Gvardiol---
-------------Rodri-------Anderson-----------
-Porro------------------------------Ait-Nueri-
-------------Cherki------O'Rielly--------------
---------------------Big Earl--------------------

for example,

though I fully believe Nunes can do that role personally

Nunes and O'Reilly seems like a ready made solution for Maresca, both can extend the field, can invert, very physical

I tend to. agree but I do feel O'Riellys full potential is wasted as just a fullback/LWB there is potentially the best attacking midfileder England has produced since Lampard waiting to be let loose

We literally do not have a right back at the club. I like Nunes there, so even if we count him that's 1. We need another one, so Porro looks like a solid option for rotation.

I actually think his greatest potential is from left back. 2here he can ghost into great positions.

Start him in midfield and a DM can pick him up easily and you blunt his inherent advantage

I think its the cost that folks don't like

I really like him as a target. Spurs fans don't want to get rid of him at all.

Super logical target. His profile could be valuable for us. I think being in a better side can bring out his quality.

Was Cancelo or Zinchenko or Delph the best option defensively ? of course not..

Even Oreilly isn't and Matheus also.

But since Pep arrived, this +1 player coming from defence and contributing in midfield or attack, has always been our trademark and let's agree - it was successful.

That's the risk we took, for more ball control, for better buildups, for better attacking play and in most cases defensive vulnerabilities were less important than those ones we gained playing these players, rather than sticking to classic 4 defenders.

Therefore Porro suits that ideology or philosophy.

Porro is SHITE be fuming with that tbh. Nunes is probably the best right back in the League for me other than Timber at Arsenal. Don't think it's a major need. Sort the midfield out first. If we can get a Tino Livramento sort yeah great but not fucking Porro.

I wouldn't even straight swap Sav for him.
