Enzo Maresca

Is he already making the Moyes mistake?
Letting too many backroom staff go at once.
No need for "stamping his mark" etc. The whole emphasis and aim, should be seamless, as possible, transition.

Bacon face ran the rags from top to bottom. He dealt with everything. The rags weren't just replacing the manager. If Khaldoon, Viana, Soriano all went too then it would be concerning but the club have phased these things.

Maresca is as seamless a transition as you could hope for post-Pep and with the board all in place the running of the club in the critical areas - transfers, finances etc are sorted. The coaching staff possibly needed freshening up.

Whilst I don't want us to play that dull brand of football Arsenal served up, you could argue that we should have been doing more from set pieces or modernising our game slightly, within the wider footballing principles Pep instilled.

No The mistake was made in allowing Ferguson and Gill to leave at the same time they add no structure
City have a much more robust structure from top to bottom
Also Ferguson didn’t want anyone going in and being better than him

No its what most managers do in a new club, exactly the same asPep and previous managers did.

Isn't the set piece coach (French, formerly with Pool not as a coach though) staying?
Wonder if Maresca will demand a big improvement, couldn't get worse from an attacking point.

Wait wait wait where is this Zabaleta rumor coming from? My heart can only handle so much in one week. Come home, Pablo.

Anything concrete RE: Zaba?
No, just wishful thinking so far. They do know each other from when Enzo was Pelligrini's assistant at west ham, and Zaba has just left his role as Albania's assistant manager. So it is trying to put two and two together in hope. But nobody that I have seen has lined them yet beyond that.
