Bernardo Silva and Dias tried to get City to sign Joao Neves before he signed with PSG, saying City may regret it if they don’t. City had other priorities at the time and as we all know he didn’t sign for us.

The annoying thing with him signing for PSG was the bargain price below his buyout clause they managed to get him for.

If we could get him now he would be the perfect Bernardo replacement.

The quality of football players have dropped significantly in the past few years. Don’t think there is a team currently that could compete against Pep’s previous teams, hence why Arsenal won the league. I wouldn’t even say last year’s PSG team were of such high quality.

The market seems barren. Anderson is going for 100m would replicate the joke of Rice going for a similar fee. Neither are worth the money, but the market has created this.

Unfortunately we wasted money on Reijnders that has crippled our chance for the PL this year.

Maresca system makes players better that's what I've heard from Chelsea fans, Cucurella, Gusto , James , Lavia (when fit) Garnacho who's shit all looked better in his system. I know a Leicester fan that says he buys players to fit his system had Winks and Ndidi playing above their level.

So knowing that I'm not going to judge who we buy until we see them in his system. Porro might be average at Spurs but turn into a world class right back in Maresca system.

you feel confident this is a premier league winning team and one to fight for champions league? I have my doubts ,but time will tell which players will leave and come.

NOR, Porro and RAN in the same team would be the stuff of nightmares for Rodri. All three are extremely one footed and the latter two have poor decision making in the final third leading to constant counters. It would also mean dropping Doku, who makes the LHS dynamic between him and NOR work.

Hugo also knows who he wants and goes full tilt so if he is going for Porro then thats who he thinks is the best for the .tactics and quality we need. He isnt going to blow £40-50m for the sake of it

Transitions have also been less of a problem since Nunes and Khusanov became the right side of defence.
When we think of times when transitions were a nightmare for us, we had so may injuries and were lucky if we had Nathan/Ruben behind Bernie, and none had the pace to deal with it without an additional physical central midfielder.

People have to realise as well there is going to be a system change as we have got so used to Pep`s system but Maresca tends to play a different one to Pep? Signings need to suit it and not the Pep one.

Not really very different, quite similar to what we played at times this season when he used Bernardo and Rodri as his 2 in front of a back 4 that included full backs than can invert and join the midfield.

To get right back to the top we should be trying to sign players like Barcola or Olise. We have just added a new stand and need to be right at the top to sell the extra seats. Players like Summerville , Wilson will not excite anyone

They are both opposite of each other going by stats. Nunes better defensively, Porro in expected assists and crosses is a freak offensively so we'd be getting the opposite to Nunes.

Absolutely this you can’t replace players like KDB and Silva with the likes of Wilson
Sign fewer players but absolute top draw ones
Barcola would be a good shout looks like he is being squeezed out at PSG and he is a massive upgrade on Savinho

Yes but Barcola plays mainly on the left, and Savinho isn't first choice on the right Semenyo is.As good as Barcola is don't think he's what we need to replace Savinho and maybe Marmoush as well.
