That’s the killer for me. The first thing any players agent is going to ask about is the situation regarding the PL investigation. Unless there’s a pile of get out clauses inserted into the contracts of everyone who’s signed or renewed since the charges were announced then the club have clearly been able to convey their confidence in the outcome to those players. Same with Maresca, he spent time at the academy and as Pep’s assistant, I really can’t see why he, and a team of his assistants, would have agreed to join a club that is guaranteed to be relegated and forever tainted as cheats.

There's no way they're going to give hundreds of millions of pounds worth of assets get out clauses, or spend a fraction of the money they have on developing the club if there was the faintest chance that it would all be taken away from us by means of relegation etc.

AApart from that, the Football League would have to agree to any relegation as it affects them directly too. Their clubs are not going to want a promotion place taken away from them next season by a club the size of City.

I also don't think they would have spent this much money defending it if they were guilty. It's different for the PL as its not really their money.

What these clowns always forget is that if they, or in fact ANYBODY, had received ANY kind of information whatsoever about what was happening or what decisions, deals or anything else had been reached it would be all over the mainstream press like a rash. It isn't. End of.

Even if we are not guilty of a single one of the proper financial regulations they have accused us of breaking, we will likely be found guilty of the non-coöperation charges so everyone will forever say we were guilty just like they have with the CAS/UEFA case.

Plus, like the CAS/UEFA case, even when the financial charges were found to be unsubstantiated, everyone just pulled out the bits from the report that had what UEFA accused us of and said that the CAS report said we were guilty. Some were in full understanding of what they were doing, many were just too stupid to understand that they were just quoting the accusations and not the verdict.

All of this will forever be spun against us and we will forever be seen as cheats and all our success seen as invalid. We will never be respected, we will never be accepted, because the fans of the Redshirts and media luvvies are all too insecure to allow us to be seen at their level.

Most of us have thick skin as a fanbase so will be able to rise above it, but it will always be there and will always follow us around.

I kind of like it because I’ve never wanted to be sycophantically loved by the masses and the media and it’s always much cooler to be a sub-culture than mainstream. But some fans do want the respect and acceptance and think we deserve it so it will be tough for them.

Does anyone know what stage the process is in? It can't rumble on into next season can it?

I am sick of the whole thing and want the verdict asap regardless of what it is.
