VAR Discussion Thread

Yet not one single person in the media will call it out
They dont want to lose access to the brand because the revenue covers the budgets for these media firms.

We could do with a new Andrew Jennings and channel 4 having the the balls to bring it all down like they did with FIFA

We saw that after the match fixing in the decisive Arsenal - West Ham game, pundits at the time were talking about what a ridiculous decision it was to disallow West Ham's goal and how the referee had just decided incorrectly the league winner and relegated team.
Then a couple of hours later they had changed their tune to follow the company line and tell us what a great decision it was and how it was great that VAR saved the day again.
Nobody wants to be the one to destroy the Premier League's reputation and put themselves out of work.

It doesn’t legislate for all the smaller decisions that go against us that don’t end up going to VAR.

I’m thinking the Bournemouth game where in two practically identical situations Haaland was flagged for offside immediately whereas the play was allowed to carry on for them.

Early bookings for your players is a key factor but not VAR related

KDB and Terry Henry should sue the feckers for irreparable damage to their reputation.

It can’t be good to have your achievements stolen by a rat.

No-one will call it out, because everyone benefits from it. Including the clubs, and including City. The more successful, exciting and "unpredictable" the PL is, the better for all concerned. It's been a business, not a sport, for years.

It's depressing and my last real remaining link to the game, City, is being slowly eroded by the same forces that have inflicted so much bullshit on the wider game in the last decade.

It also doesn’t legislate for dodgy cartoons “proving” VAR was in fact correct after all.
