It’s a joke this country, it seems them two lads who assaulted the Police Officers at Manny airport have got off with it, no wonder disorder is on the rise when there is no justice in cases like this.

No they haven’t one of them had been done for the attacks on the women coppers he is on remand the other one has walked free. Good job it wasn’t the USA they’d be dead now and not a single tear would be shed if you look at that footage.

Not a single tear shed.... until the police kill someone you love without a trial.

I wouldn't want to live in a country like that.

In terms of this case, maybe the jury had evidence that hasn't been released.

Everyone jumping to conclusions from the very start. Those seeing police brutality to those seeing 'two tier justice' because they were Muslim.

I’m sure the local imam will be along shortly to say what good lads they are and that they regularly pray at the local mosque.

What evidence, have you seen the video? The camera doesn’t lie, he attacked a police officer, doesn’t matter if he thought his brother was in trouble, he attacked an armed police officer, saying it was self defense, he sees them go for his brother, he see their uniforms and yet he still makes that decision to attack that copper. His brother attacked someone in Starbucks and he was there, he knew full well what those coppers had come for. This count will be laughing at home and no doubt sue the police now for some spurious reason. Like I said pity they weren’t put down.

After the furore the BBC made about the events on the original day (police brutality), the clear violence against the police, and the case's collapse, this story does NOT make headlines on it's 6 o'clock bulletin, or even North West Tonight's.......strange.

A pity this didn't happen in a Spanish airport

One week the far right are fuming that labour are getting rid (sic) of jury trials, then they are fuming that they have jury trials; then they hate the police, then they love the police-I can't keep up, other than its designed to make people permanently angry about something.

Just goes to show what a farce this country is. Name one country where you can assault armed police and get away with it? Lucky they weren’t shot never mind kicked.

We all know why they got off with it.

People have been jailed for Tweets.

They were attacking ARMED officers. The police have seconds to react. They dont have time to wait for a trial.
Police kill VERY few people in this country.and that's when their own lives are in danger.

The two who escaped justice for this blatant attack, can count themselves VERY lucky.

Why is it the far right?

Im guessing that most law abiding citizens of ANY political leanings, are fuming by this attack, let alone getting rid of jury trials

It would be interesting to find out who is paying the defence lawyers in this case.
Bearing in mind that the younger brother is a student, with little income ,they must have run up a substantial legal bill, in fact I believe Imran Khan ( ex cricketer) was part of the legal team.
So their lawyers have either worked for free, the 2 brothers are in huge debt and will be paying legal fees for years, or the Muslim community in Rochdale have done a crowd funding exercise and all chipped in to help them.
Or a combination of all of these .
