I agree but we can't recover the time spent on going through them, basically spend more at first and get on with it, rather than piss about for a few seasons looking for a bargain.
Anderson is one of the best CM'S there is in the PL at 23

If we are using Rico Lewis in any position next season we are in trouble. That performance against Villa last week was a stark reminder just how far off it he is. Physically he's just not up to it. Infuriating watching him keep trying to shield the ball and him not being strong enough. Hopefully we can include him in any deal for Anderson as they wanted him last season.

Exactly, didn’t have any guile or pace to beat his man so just turned back to goal and tried to shield it and got bullied, the same thing at least 3 times. It’s a shame because by all accounts he’s a top lad and a life long blue, but he’s not anywhere near the level

I'd be astonished if this happens before the world cup. Buying anyone from a PL team is like pulling teeth these days unless they have a release clause.

Good point. If we start discarding players after one season, or even 18 months, it signals that you don’t really know what you’re doing, and that hardly sends a reassuring signal to those players you’re trying to sign.
