Also put to bed is the nonsense that this is the best team ever, and the best squad. They won the PL in a poor season with a relatively modest points total, were beaten comfortably in the Carabao cup and were knocked out of the FA cup by a championship team who didn't need to spy on their training. In theCL final they managed one shot on target in 120 minutes and missed two penalties in the shoot out. And no-one claims any of the teams to beat them are the best teams ever. Come in Piers or Merson. Any more spin?
