If he is suspected of class C drug driving then the suspicion likely comes from what has been found, the police wont have any results back a day after the event? If he's crashed and has prescription anti depressants with no evidence they are prescribed he will be arrested on suspicion, if he has NOS in his bag he'll be arrested on suspicion. Only once they have his blood samples back will they know if he has driven under the influence, at the present time its just a suspicion.

I think he has been treated like shit for a few years. I haven’t liked it one bit.

No one knows the details. As others have said Class C drugs are a multitude of legitimate things. They way some here have reacted.

City fans treated Raz like shit too. It wouldn’t surprise me if was very unwell tbh.

What I get really fucking tired of is how people cite a footballers wealth as an excuse to be a vicious wanker to and about them. Anyone who knows a top professional athlete knows thats what matters to them - actually competing.

Football just happens to be the one sport where there is shit loads of money for top players.

No, but to be suspected of a specific Class c rather than the more obvious a/b/drink its a fair jump from the info we have that something was found?

Always cheek it was the answer obvs for Raheem though.

Was never much of a fan of his football, save for showing up on the back post and managing to scramble the ball into the goal, or crossing one of the same for Sané, but always admired the man for his comportment. Drugs (incl drink) only make any of life's difficulties worse.
Hopefully he will learn from this incident.
 
People need to take a step back before crucifying him. The wording of the charge is critical "on suspicion of driving a vehicle whilst unfit through drugs". England and Wales has 17 fixed limit drug offences, that covers your cannabis, cocaine, MDMA etc. He has not been charged under that offence. Instead he has been charged with Section 4 of the RTA. That is often used for prescription drugs or if they could not get a blood sample.

The possession of class C is what would worry me. That can range from sleeping tablets to steroids!! Hope it is not nitrous oxide or something equally stupid.
 
Odd lad.

I still think that he never loved football.

That Lyon miss coupled with him thinking he was worth KDB money was mad.

He had an amazing purple patch but he has some catologue of brain fart misses too. I still stand by thinking Sane was the one to keep and work on but we know he was tapped up. But history will hold Sane in higher regard with us blues.

He’s clearly a little lost and I hope he finds himself a happy life after football.

It will be linked to the manner of his driving, his demeanour/symptoms and any drugs found in his car.

Toxicology will take weeks to come back.

Drugs wipes take about 8 minutes to show results tho blood tests would be what’s needed in court.

I think most people have empathy for him probably due to his fall from grace and likely struggling mentally (though we don't know that for sure). As I said earlier in the thread the way footballers are dehumanised is pretty horrible and unfortunately we all play our part too slagging them on forums etc like pieces of meat.

However, while you can take the above into account, there is absolutely zero excuse for driving while inhibited mentally. He could have killed someone and then he'd be in a much bigger world of hurt, and someone would have lost a brother/sister/mum/dad/whatever.

I think you can separate the two things and that is what I have tried to - understand that someone has their struggles in life, but still hold them accountable for how they react to said struggles - Sterling has enough money to hire an uber driver if he's wrecked.

I do agree though that money is not the solution to everything. If someone is broken internally then money won't solve it. Seen a few posts about paying top tier therapists to fix himself but it's really not that simple - being mentally well and healthy and happy is very difficult even with wealth. Depression and anxiety don't respect money.

Still, though, there's no excuse for him then taking his possible problems and making them other people's problems in the sense of endangering lives.
