Everybody fawning over iriola at Bournemouth like hes the second coming, yes he has the potential to be good but he also has the exact same potential to do a thomas frank at spurs, its a complete 50/50 shot.

I agree, he's the hipsters choice as the new great manager.

There's enough to like about him but I wouldn't be hugely confident either.

Great post. I like Alonso, he done well in Germany but got caught up with bullshite in Madrid. Chelsea have a mish mash of good players so maybe he can work his magic there.

I dunno what's more surprising, Slot winning a title in his first season, or being fired at the end of his second.

With the amount they spent I really thought they would be 90pts+ this season. It's been a dodgy season for them.

Wirtz and Isak, costing nearly quarter of a million quid between them, will have to prove their worth too.
Billion…

I would piss myself if they gave it to slippy G and then brought out all the old tropes of ,Knows the club , has the DNA ,the fans love him , dipperpool in his blood etc etc.

Sacking a manager who won them a league and had a super hard season dealing with an important player death+ ageing players being finished and key players being sold and not replaced is such a strange and panic move. So much of we are Liverpool we stick with manager until it gets too bad. This is something that I would expect Chelsea to do

£500m spent by a manager to make the squad worse , blaming the death of a player for their issues on the football pitch , how low can that rancid club sink , you dont wallow in self pity , it should make you more determined and play your hearts out as a testament to the player . Its the Dippers way , if their was a cup for self pity they would win it every season.

First home game of last season, best Spurs performance I've seen at Etihad, they looked really good under Frank and were 3rd at end of October. He looked a good appointment then.

Without spending massively to clear out a poor squad they'll struggle next season whoever is the manager
Exactly this
Allison wants to go
Vd clapped out
Robinson off to Spurs
Konate is shit,
Frimpong is the Temu Doku
Kirkez has played under the Spanish nipple at Bournemouth but struggled to make the step up

So they need a complete back line but are the board willing to spend another £500m & and if so, there doesn't seem to be any outstanding prospects

Not like a scouser to use the grief card, wouldn’t wish that on anyone (apart from Putin) but he was hardly a “first on the team sheet” player and spending half a billion on players isn’t an argument for failure.

Klopp and his great Dipper teams , they won one title in nearly ten years and he spent close to a billion , its typical Dipper delusion they actually under achieved , he couldnt compete with Pep and thats why he f*cked off , he gave up and ran away and was vastly overrated and now he scrapes a living making adverts for the telly , not sure Pep would lower himself to that level to make a few quid.

As others have said, they weren’t worried about Jota's death, when they won their opening five matches.
