1 | James Trafford - 2025/26

If other clubs try and unsettle Trafford we should tell him he's under contract and going nowhere soon. Getting sick of us being soft allowing players and their agent trying to agitate a move.

Donnarumma is the present but Trafford is the future, hopefully with us.
Really? Perhaps I've forgotten, but I can't remember many such instances recently. If anything, it's the complete opposite, with players adhering like barnacles until their contracts expire.

All of the fluff in the media and on here is pure speculation and better to ignore it.

You forgot about Alvarez Walker and Cancelo wanting out and getting out.

Fair enough, though not what I’d thought recent, my bad. Cancelo is a troubled soul, Alvarez had outgrown scraps from the table, and, might be mistaken, I think Walker’s contract would have only been expiring this summer! Sometimes agitating for an early release is in the interest of both parties.

Alvarez’s family and friends couldn’t get visas to stay in the country. He brought a top offer from Atletico and Pep was true to his word about players wanting out being allowed to if they brought a good enough offer.

Similar happened with Torres.

Walker was finished and suffered a head loss, as did Cancelo.

Neither did us any harm and Cancelo leaving arguably helped win us the treble.

Could be a shay and Joe scenario on the horizon for me

Despite areas of class from Donnarumma, he’s up there with Ike Immel at controlling his 6 yard box; his size should be an almost certainty in terms of command, yet it’s incredibly poor, it also filters through the defensive set up when faced with set pieces; he’s targeted religiously by opposing teams

We have had to compensate with the sea of change in how we are targeted; Eddie’s trump card became less effective as the game evolved, however, he was a mean average of 7/8 in most areas, Donna is way below these other than shot stopping, which he’s probably the best in the world at, however, we face more as he is so average at breaking the lines…

It just feels like a short romance this one, and wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest at the new manager statement being this call….

Probably wrong and having a player with a contract like he has will dictate

I’d say bar Real Madrid we keep players better than anyone personally.

Would also say that we can’t keep our back up keeper here against his will and Donnaruma is only 27 so James could be waiting a while to become the future.
