I saw Belgium played with a false 9 the other night. I wonder if they’ll do that to lessen the defensive load on KDB and Doku, or whether they’ll play Lukaku.

Depends on if they have confidence in De Ketalaere to score - granted Lukaku loves a miss in a big tournament.

Musiala imo is an example of a player who would cost >100m and is a good but not an elite player. Dont think he takes us to another level and don’t think he’s better than a in form Phil Foden. Musialas hype is greater than his actual output and impact on games. I don’t believe he’s much better than Rogers if at all and Rogers is prem proven. Some of the comments on Rogers are honestly miles off the mark and we will in reality probably end up with a winger nowhere near as good (I know he isn’t a typical touchline winger but he can play wide left). Rogers will go to Arsenal and massively improve their attack.

Doue we have no chance of getting him out of PSG.

Valverde is a very good player who works very hard. Wouldn’t get in our treble winning / 4 in a row side but obviously times have moved on, not convinced for what we need that he’d be a better option than Anderson.

I know we look at things with blue tinted specs, but Valverde is and was a much better player than Grealish.

Tbf I think it’s probably true they want him, and also probably true that the recent links we had were made up because stylistically he doesn’t suit the club or our new managers style of football.

None of those players are in any rush to leave their clubs. I know what you’re trying to say but …. Yea those days are over. Pep’s pull was crazy don’t cry that it’s over smile that it happened. FC26 will be out soon tho

Do you watch Rogers consistently ? He’s very inconsistent, uncomfortable in tight spaces and thrives against open spaces, he’s not a great passer of the ball or a carrier, I’m really worried about what you lot is considered a good player nowadays. Do you guys enjoy watching players that run a lot shoot a lot but the ball hits their shins and they look off when asked to break down a low block ? He’s a good ball striker and decent off the ball (in behind and pressing) but not an all rounder good footballer. Arsenal already have a player like this he’s called Eze and he’s not older and not amazing at anything unless he’s playing Spurs.
Musiala is like Jude he plays for a big team in a league that doesn’t have many eyes on it so people assume he’s amazing but he’s not really, injuries and average numbers, they see his natural talent and just run with it.

Valverde fights with his own teammates good player that never stops running but I also untouchable.

There’s not many players out there that are realistically attainable that take us back to our best imo. You just have to get the best possible profiles and just hope for a miracle like PSG with Zaire Emery, Doue, Kvara etc

I agree Musiala is a bit over hyped. Rogers though is simply not a good fit for what we used to do. Perhaps Maresca has a totally different philosophy that Rogers will work in.

He is not a technical player. He is a mix of Bellingham and Semenyo. Big, strong, jard to disposses on a counter, and has a fantastic short. Technique, vision, passing, touch etc all average to below par.

I just dont see the fit. Strong player in his own right though.
