Think they mean city won’t be able to do medical and interviews etc. that would be the delay I’d assumeWhy? It’s not him doing the negotiating!

We will have plenty to spend when we win the damages claim against the PL for the 115 case !whether we spend 90, 100, 110, 120 on Anderson is a bit small change over the amortisation, an extra 6m difference. We spend probably 5x on laywers (not for much longer) so who cares. 100m is the new 60m
That background work has been wrong many times. My point is the risk is big here esp at the money we are talking. My other point is people are are over estimating the quality of some of the names here because they want a shiny new toy. Scott,Wharton and Anderson all being hailed as world beaters. Anderson is the best of them all from what i have seen but hes miles off the finished article and has a huge amount of devloping before he can command a record transfer fee. Two years ago he was a failed winger at newcastle remember. Im not saying hes not the player we should sign or wont become a great player but there has to be some perspective here esp at the money we are talking.Thankfully, the background work and analysis on new signings are more about their projected impact, how they improve our team based on their profile and what we currently lack. Not team of the year appearances or how many trophies they have won at their young age.
Imagine they would’ve said about Bernardo Silva or KDBThankfully, the background work and analysis on new signings are more about their projected impact, how they improve our team based on their profile and what we currently lack. The background work hasn’t been wrong though, we just haven’t bought our first choices often enough since 2023 in midfield. That background work has been wrong many times. As for the other two, maybe someone should have given tuchel that analysis cos he picked jordan henderson and a mainoo(who has about 8 decent games this year) ahead of both of them. Both of them would be project players here for me.
That would be bundesliga player of the year KDB and bernardo who had torn us apart in the champions league? Anderson got over run in the europa league and hasnt kicked a ball in the champions league or even played in a cup final for his club. Night n day between bernardo/kdb conpared to the current anderson and neither Bernardo/kdb were English transfer records.Imagine they would’ve said about Bernardo Silva or KDB
Right you’ve said it a few times now. Any chance that’s the lot so I don’t have to keep reading it?He isn't remotely worth £115 million, this could be another Jack transfer. £60 million is the right price.
Who was our first choice over reijnders last year? The background work hasn’t been wrong though, we just haven’t bought our first choices often enough since 2023 in midfield.
Morgan Gibbs White I think.Who was our first choice over reijnders last year?
Im not ignoring it, answered it above. Im not against anderson i like him, i watched him closely in the warm up against us and he replicated the goal he got about ten times and then went out on the pitch and reproduced it. He also got over ran alot in the match and they were lucky to get a draw. I am happy for us to sign him but not at 100m plus as he he hasnt done enough to justify it.Wonder how @Dubciteh will ignore this.
If we wanted him bad enough we would have got him, he was about to join spurs and we did nothing about it. He wasnt our first choice, we got our first choice. It was just wrong.Morgan Gibbs White I think.
With all due respect, what we pay for him should be no interest of yours. Or mine. Or anyone other than the guys that know our budget and targeted list of players.Im not ignoring it, answered it above. From a previous postNot being smart as i genuinely dont know but do we have stats for how many times he gave it away? Really keen to see this. Phillips was a beast at winning possesion back at leeds but then joined a team who at the time had about 70percent of the ball condensed into the oppositions half so his biggest strength was a waste. Granted we need that type of player more now than we did back then.
From what i have seen with anderson he does a lot of things right but also stuff that he will be abs crucified for if he did here like give the ball away cheaply at times.
The fact your comparing Phillips to Anderson tells me all I need to knowNot being smart as i genuinely dont know but do we have stats for how many times he gave it away? Really keen to see this.
