I think when you look at Khusanov, it took him a year to become a mainstay in the team.

Gvardiol was the same age when he joined, he’s 24 now and still not a guaranteed starter in his favoured position.

Huge chasm between them imo.

Parity with Guehi won't do: Gvardiol is more proven at the highest level (Guehi has 1 start in the CL at 26 and hasn't won a league title yet), and is better than Guehi and Khusa going forward. In terms of the whole package (defence, build-up, attack), Gvardiol is better than them.

Club should have offered him a new contract after last season, in which he was ran into the ground because Stones and Ake couldn't stay fit.

We'll improve our offer, because, given the uncertainty surrounding Rodri and Dias, selling him shouldn't be a serious option this summer.

If Kompany gets the hype you shouldn't be too certain you are right.

Imo, he’s been here three seasons and he’s never really cemented himself as a guaranteed in his favoured position.

Just my opinion but I think Khusanov is much more talented and our defence has been much more solid with Guehi/Khus than Gvardiol/Dias.

I think we do probably have too many CB's, and I think someone other than Ake probably has to go still to keep everyone happy, but if it's Gvardiol that's devastating. Signing Guehi was not worth it if it costs us Gvardiol.

I reckon it’s just his agent drumming up interest during contract negotiations and putting pressure on the club to meet their demands. Josko will want assurances from the new manager that he is a key part of the plans in which case as he’s stated himself, he has everything he needs at City.
If a centre back needs to leave then for me it should be Dias.
