Elliot Anderson | Opening bid rejected (p189)

[QUOTE="RayCTID, post
It will get done but the extra money spent on this could be used in tying down our current stars is the point I am trying to make.

We will have saved around £450k per week from Bernardo and Stones going. If we can somehow get shot of Kalvin that gives us another £150k to play with and expect Savinho to go so another £40k.

Assuming we need to drop another £200to £300k on renewals between Gvardiol, Rodri and Doku. Would leave us enough for Anderson and a bit left over. Could really do with Grealish off the books and Marmoush wages are not VFM based on game time.
Will we be saving Pg's massive wage ,& surely Maresca won't be on anything near that

I thought Anderson and MGW had good games that night. This is confirmed by Whoscored.com who gave Anderson mom and by BBC's match day stats
I seen Rodri had higher rating but most of that is influenced by the goals across all three of them. In reality, mgw and anderson did fk all outside of their goals. We were by far the dominant team and shouldve won but for the sucker punches.

No I can't. Why, did somebody suggest that we had?

I certainly didn't.
If we don't buy him, I just hope that we don't go for an alternative who was not on the radar previously, but just happens to have a blinder of a world cup.

That knee-jerk decision rarely has a happy ending.
So you were just suggesting you hope we don't do something we've never done? Fair enough, I hope we don't knew jerk buy a Martian

If we got Anderson, Tonali and MGW i'd be fukin ecstatic
Due to. him having a better overall season, being younger, costing less and with englands future as a possible midfield trio, I would be looking at alex scott over tonalli any day as a 3rd option if we went for anderson amd MGW.

Tonalli has been average to ok all season, bournemouths midfield and attack have had excellent seasons in comparrison

Unfortunately I think he is Dippers bound with Iraola there now.

15 goals 4 assists highest goal scoring midfielder in the league yeah that Gibbs white. 7 goals and 8 assists the season before consistently a top performing midfielder
I will admit last summer I was 100% against it citing he hadn't consitantly shown he was able to produce the form of that season, but he improved on it last year so my mind is changed, he would be an asset imho

Yes, that is exactly what I was saying - there a few references on here to an alternative 'maybe emerging from the world cup' or similar.

I'd have used the word 'again' and probably cited an example if I was suggesting that we'd done so previously, do you not think?

It's no big deal - you just made an incorrect assumption.
