Spain the better team by far and England a little lucky to be only 2 down. It's all been a bit of a shambles really, getting caught on the ball a lot, no midfield and the front three just have not been in the game.

Toon and Stanway are dross and have been for years.Hemp getting no service whatsoever but done well when she's had the ball if she was Spanish she would destroy England !

I do feel England now are quite predictable and staid. It's all the same players, they have just brought on Mead and Kelly.

She looked "finished" when she was back at City, she's looked revived since then at chelsea, but I think she is nearing the end sadly.

Same old England was the problem. This team needs freshening up but Wiegman is either too loyal to her chosen few or doesn't realise that really good teams (and Spain are most definitely one of those) will outclass her regular tactics with this bunch of players. Cannot play Walsh on her own in the central pivot role and have Stanway & somebody else doing nothing to help her out. It was like Spain had at least one extra player in the middle of the park at all times. Playing Hemp on the right wing just to accommodate James is also ridiculous.

All credit to Spain though, they were fantastic. Having 8 players from the same club side certainly helped with their cohesion, interplay and understanding. Technically a far superior side as well and with good depth too.

Bit hit and miss, this side won the Euros against Spain in 2025 and now they look like they are miles off the pace. Could just be a glitch.

Time for a rethink of how we want to look going forward too many of old guard look like they are struggling now at this level, Lucy Bronze for one I even thought that when we beat Chavs in cup semi .
