I didn't include Mexico as it's central America ........ but yeah, that was quite a good competition there back in 86, or at least it was until a chap named Maradona stuck his hand out !

Just finished watching the 2026 programme made by makers of W1A and 2012. Good satirical take on the potential for the most politically “correct” and instagrammable World Cup yet. *shudders

I'm not sure I'd class 32 years as a little over 20 years but agree with your point. England or the UK has a ready made stadia infrastructure to host the world cup and its a joke it hasn't had it in 60 years.

My bad. I counted from 2004, not 1994. Fuck knows why; that wasn't even a world cup year.
