Mrs loves her horror films and watches them constantly. She is watching a new silent one right now. We have been in a discussion about what the most disturbing film she has seen is. I am not talking about your generic American ones with the same old story and various reincarnations of.

So for clarity, films that are 18 certified but should be more like 30 certified. For me:

Funny Games
A Serbian Film

Eden Lake is grim

I took a girl I was seeing at the time to watch it. We sat in complete silence all the way home. Have no interest in ever watching it again.

Random fact. The woman in it is Beth Dutton from Yellowstone

My shout is Skeleton Key. Never left me that beginning or ending.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang- the child catcher scarred me for life!
Scared films aren’t for me, but my Mrs loves em’
Whilst I completely agree that Chitty Chitty Bang Bang has very weird undertones, are you suggesting it would be the darkest and most psychological horror film you have ever seen? If you want to go down that road then Watership Down wins hands down.

Inception.

Well; I thought it was a bit of a horror when I watched it.

Well; I say "watched it". It's the only film that I ever bailed out early on. Left the cinema after half an hour.
