Irish Current Affairs

1000117933.jpgI haven't read this whole thread so I don't know if this particular angle has been discussed, but have the scumbags that wreaked terror on those innocent families in Belfast thought through the sectarian ramifications of their actions?
This could be the start of the law of unintended consequences beginning to rear it's head.

Jonathan Hall KC, the Reviewer in the UK’s Independent Terrorism Watchdog has just said the following:

“I think it does raise the question. If (people from) certain countries are more likely either to commit very serious offences or particular offences, or to get involved with state threat activity, do we need to start thinking about migration now, not simply in terms of the economy and housing, but also in terms of national security?

Ultimately, national security is to help the nation, and having a stable nation where people feel they can go about their business. At the moment, there are people who happen to be black and brown, but as British as you and me, who probably feel they can’t go about that business, and that is (also) destabilising the nation.

So, I think it’s absolutely necessary to talk about immigration in the context of national security.”

That’s a good point. Not sure why he can’t sack X and Musk off and head over to Bluesky instead
Badenoch called X a necessary evil yesterday.

It's not if all the world governments and politicians collectively agree to delete their accounts on it.

It needs to happen. If most governments come off it, some very high profile celebs too, it’ll become obsolete in no time. Just a sad little chat room for right wing nut jobs to get angry on.

As is The Reformograph, although they love a flashpoint...

As you and TFH point out, it’s about creating content for their 24 hr platforms. If the attempted murder of somebody wasn’t enough, their first thought after that is what else can we get out of this.

Sky are one of the worst, who quickly switched to the GB News viewers that they thought they had lost as they came up to the GE.

I assume a pogrom against Irish catholics in the Uk would have been acceptable to some on here during the troubles ?
The irony of certain sections of the Irish community protesting about immigration.
In the north it’s predominately one community and they wouldn’t describe themselves as Irish

And then you have the Mcgregor wannabe idiots in the south….

BBC and Sky are desperate for it to kick off tonight.
Politicians and the media are driving this rampage, when white men commit similar knife crime they quickly move on we don’t have any rioting then.

Remember when the asylum hotel was attacked by thugs last year.? It’s a very dangerous UK at the moment the footage from last night is horrendous the north of Ireland doesn’t need this kind of violence whipped up by reform restore and politicians.and X
